I think Joyous would be gorgeous on you. Eversun was very tan when I swatched it today, so I can't really help you much with that one. It's a hit or miss color; either it looks amazing on you or it looks awful (like it does on me, haha). Shy Beauty is soooo pretty, and I actually think it would show up on very dark skin like yours. It's a shimmery light peach, which would probably give you a nice glow. You might want to think about Sweetness as well. It's gorgeous and vibrant, almost fuchsia in the pan. It would look divine on dark skin.

CantAffordMAC, as mentioned above Shy Beauty would probably be too light to work as a blush on you (it feels too light for me, and I have a warm/medium/olivish complexion - someday I promise I'll try a MAC foundation so I can use NCblahblah to describe myself more sensibly!)...but it would be really pretty as a highlighter. That's pretty much what I got it for.

I bought all these today, I'm insane. I thought for sure there'd be at least one that I didn't like, but it didn't happen. I can't wait to play.

Does anyone remember the Beauty Powder called "SHELL PEARL"?

I'm wondering if any of these new powders even come close to it as far as being a good dupe.

"Shell Pearl" Beauty Powder is incredible...I don't read many people rave about it.

Here's to hoping!

I'm wondering how the bpb will work on darker skin as well -- I'm nc40 and most likely I'll be ordering online unseen.

No one seems to be talking about Serenely and this one interests me the most! Has anyone gotten this that is darker?

Also, I'm thinking of Joyous, Eversun, and maybe another (that isn't Sweetness)..

I have Barbie Don't Be Shy with Pearl Blossom -- I like them but may like something even brighter like Sweetness...do you guys think it's worth the money for me to get Sweetness if I have those two or spend my money on another different BPB instead? :\

Help!

I wish I could have them all, but I think i'll only be able to get 3 max.

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

i must be the only person who dislikes all of the new blushes. they don't seem unique in any way to me. the colours look like the same blushes that mac already has out. i'm glad to be passing on all of them. disappointed for sure :/

For those who are wondering how Joyous compares to Hipness, Joyous is brighter and more orange/less pink than Hipness. I love both of them.

I tried my Shy Beauty today, and while I like the color, I don't think I need anymore of these. It doesn't seem any different than any other MAC blush. I still had to but a MSF over it to get the glow that I love. The color is very nice though on my NW15 skin

I tried something I read awhile back

I used Joyous along the cheek bone, then used Sweetness just on the apples of my cheeks. then I put a very light coat of strobe cream on the back of my hand an picked some of it up with my 187 brush and very lightly buffed over the blush.....it makes a gorgeous airbrushed glowy look...loved it.

Where i read it before, the person used strobe liquid because its lighter, but all i had was the cream.

I still love love love these blushes! You just need to try them out for yourselves to see what colors work with your skin type & preference.

Grrr, I was hoping no one would say that, lol... I wanted to limit myself to Sweetness and True Romantic! Now Eversun's got my attention after reading reviews, then this one about Joyous...bah! How's a girl to budget and choose?

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

would buffing it out with a little buffer brush help to bring out more of the shimmer?? I've still not bought one, waiting for my tax refund ><

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

I just got Shell Pearl at a CCO the other day, I love it... but I don't think any of the bpb are close to it!

I'm going back to the CCO again to pick up another shell pearl and sunsparked pearl while I still can!

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

I checked out the collection yesterday and I picked up Shy Beauty, Sweetness, Joyous and Feeling. As much as I love the colors and finish I think I'm going to return 1 or 2 of them after checking out the blushes I currently own.

I picked up Joyous as a replacement to my Hipness when it runs out but I think it's going to go back. I actually think Joyous has more pink in it than orange (at least on my skin tone - I don't use MAC but I'd guess I'm about NC42-45?). I have NARS Orgasm, Fleur Power, Hundred Degrees Pearlizer, BLM Pearl Sunshine and Pink Ingot Metal-X so I really don't need another peachy-pink.

Shy Beauty is a keeper. It's probably too light for me to use on my apples but it's great as a highlighter and to tone down brighter colors.

Sweetness is so bright and pigmented. IMO it's way better than Fashion Frenzy. I'm not sure if I can rock it as it's true color though so it may just have to go back. I would probably wash it out with Shy Beauty so I might as well return it and stick with my Pink Swoon and use a BP or MSF to give me the glowyness.

Feeling is pretty much a keeper too. IMO it's pretty close to BLM Fab Blush. I think Fab is a tad darker in the pan but on my skin the two swatch pretty closely.

Overall...I think the colors are pretty if you don't already have something similar and the texture is like butter! This is a great product but I just have wayyyy too many blushes.

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

Glamyourous just posted some beautiful pics in the swatch thread. Serenely looks really pretty. It reminds me of a pic i saw of a Victoria Secret model where they used that color blush with a white-ish silvery, black smokey eye & gorgeous red lips

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

i was very pleased with this collection
i bought shy beauty, eversun, joyous and true romantic
they are so silky smooth, i wish it wasn't LE
imo they are very pigmented but easy to blend and just have a really nice glow to them.
i wasn't going to get shy beauty because i thought it was too light for my nc30 skin but it is sooo pretty, perfect for everday wear imo

I hope they're still there, there were some there when I went over a month ago and it seemed like they still had just as many left when I broke down and bought them last week.

But oh my god, yes, it's sooo awesome on! I'm loving wearing it with a pink lip and just mascara on my eyes... I just feel so simple and elegant and model-like when I have it on! If they don't have more I'll have to stoop to ebay too!
