Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

Got to check these out today at the pro store in nyc (shout out to my buddy cindy who went with me)

Maybe its because in the dead of winter i am ghostly pale, or maybe it was the lighting, but on me all of these were incredibly bright (except for shy beauty). Maybe with the lightest hand they can be sheer but when i used the 129 i got a bright punch of color from every bp blush i tried on, and i did try on almost all of them. I am a nc/nw20 right now.

Holy hell- they were like someone just slapped me in the cheeks! And of course the bronzey shades looked orange on my pale self.

On the texture- these are super fine and not at all chunky or gritty. They actually look and feel quite silky. I feel like with a light hand perhaps all of the colors will work for almost everyone. You have a color in every shade group from warm to cool.

They definitely look like the baby of bps and blushes- to me it gravitates more on the blush side with just the slightest hint of sheen (except for shy beauty which was noticeably but not overly glittery)

I ended up with shy beauty and true romantic which imo worked best for me. To me all the other colors just seemed to overwhelm me at the time. Maybe i will come back to to the counter with my summer color in mind

Swatches to come too!

Oh, when posting the swatches i just noticed it looks sheer in the pics. Its not as sheer irl!

Krasevayadancer, what is your opinion for NC15? I had been thinking about Shy Beauty but don't want the glitter, not on this 45yr old skin. I like a soft blush, not too bright or I also look like I've been slapped. Thanks

Shadowaddict, i think you will find that with a light hand you can wear any of them. Some are definitely more pigmented than others but i found true romantic gave me the prettiest and most natural looking flush. Personally, i can go either cool or warm as my skin is neutral toned. I am nc/nw20.

Also, don't be scared by the glitter in shy beauty, its not like a glitter bomb at all, it is a fine glitter

I am NW 20, too, and I really like Shy Beauty. It is really a very fine glitter, you won't see much glitter on your skin at all!

Joyous is nothing like Foolish me..the Hipness blush is closer to Foolish Me.
Joyous is much more peachy than coral/orange and very subtle plus there is so shimmer to it- just a nice sheen. Great colour for Spring/Summer.

Can anyone compare Eversun to Otherworldly blush from Moonbathe. It kinds remnded me of that but I didnt get a chance to swatch that one.

Otherwordly from Moonbathe was a Sheertone Shimmer blush and was described as

"warm yellow gold with gold pearl"

Eversun is described as "neutral peach bronze with gold pearlized pigments".

I have Otherwordly and think that Eversun is darker.

Thanks!!! I don't like the fact that Foolish Me turns pretty much like a bright pink on my lips, not so much coral. Now i cannot decide which one to get Joyous or Hipnss, Hipness or Joyous?? lol

Don't forget that the Beauty Powder Blushes have another finish than the regular blushes! The don't give so much color off, you have to apply more than you are used from a regular blush.

If you want a bright finish, than choose Hipness.

I can't remember where I read it (I think earlier in this thread) but is Sweetness completely matte? I am so on the fence about these. I already have Fashion Frenzy, Don't be Shy, and Pink Swoon. The swatches of these 3 compared to Sweetness look awefully similar. For those who have seen this one in person, do I need it if I have the others? I was hoping for a little shimmer in Sweetness since the others I have are matte... Is it a must have for NW15?

Well, it isn't completely matte, but it is the mattest one of the Beauty Powder Blushes. It only has a VERY soft shimmer.

I've got all four of them (I love pink

) and I think they are all different in color and finish.

Thanks so much Susanne. Like you, I love pink, and so upon seeing pictures, I was immediately drawn to Sweetness. Not only that, but my husband calls me Sweetness, so I'm pretty sure I'd need it regardless

I will definately check these out then if they are all different enough to have

Thanks again!

I'm planning to get both Sweetness and True Romantic (can you tell I'm on a pink kick, lol). Will have to wait till next week. BUT...I was just looking at True Romantic swatches and it looks very close to Cargo's Louisiana....Wonder if anybody is able to compare those for me.....

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

hi ladies,

so i was lucky enough to get my hands on 6 out of 8 BPB's and i must say that i am in love! (sorry haven't gotten time to do a swatch yet)

but there is one thing that i'd like to mention..

as i depotted all 6 of them this afternoon, i noticed that they are prone to breaking and crackng as the texture of the powder is so soft and silky. i found these harder to depot than the regular MAC blushes, and even my bf, who is a pro at depotting and has depotted more than 15 blushes flawlessly, nicked one of the BPB's which totally surprised me!

ladies, please handle BPB's with extra care if you're planning on depotting.

I saw these the other day in Australia, and as an NW15 Shy Beauty and True Romantic were my two favourites as well. I agree about Shy Beauty not being too glittery, it just gives you a very soft glow.

Edit: Have just shelled out for Joyous blush as well! On second glance I really love this one though it has be applied on my skin with a light hand.

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

I asked an MA on LiveChat about eversun and otherworldly..she said they are similar except Eversun is more peach whereas otherworldly has more of a gold to it. i think im gonna skip on Eversun since i dont use my otherworldy much!

If you like more of a natural peachy glow then get Joyous. Hipness is more of a bright funky coral with some shimmer. Both are really great. If you can afford it and love your peachy/coral colours I say get both!!lol

Not sure whether it was brought up yet, but the beauty powder blushers are 5g, as opposed to 6g for the regular blushers.

Are these sheer?

Sweetness isn't as bright as it looks first. A lovely color on skin.
