My husband actually tried to go and get me free makeup at all the locations, but at every store the line was about 200 people long. That was so nice I almost cried. I couldn't do it because I was babysitting. But the fact that he was willing to go and act like he wears makeup so I could get it for free was overwhelming. It just kinda showed me that he knows I'm having a rough time and he does care and doesn't think my love of makeup is "stupid". It's just not a good time for us to spend. Needless to say, that gesture was so important to me that I will stick to the "no buy phase" until things are better. I will not cheat!!!

What a weird settlement for a lawsuit though?

I think its going until the 24th ladies. I created a thread about it called "The Cosmetic Companys Cheated Us So We Get Free Makeup"

I was thinking today how I actually quite like how the US gets the collections first and then the rest of the world follows at various points. Yes it's frustrating not being able to get your hands on a certain product but I think it makes me more aware of what I'm buying in a sense.

For me it gives me time to think about what I'm going to get, whether I actually need it or not and gather information and reviews from other members. Less room for impulses. I really value other peoples opinions when it comes to makeup because you can see what works and what doesn't in advance. I think basically the whole thing saves me money.

When this thread first started I would have said I might have bought everything for the blondes and nothing else. Now since swatches etc I'm thinking I don't really need any of the e/s and the MSFs are the only really special thing. The blonde l/s to me seem easily dupable, I think there was a comparison with Fast Thrill which I already have. And then with the brushes I probably wouldn't have got any but since all the raves on the 226 I'm really considering it'd be a great buy.

Basically as annoying as it is that all these collections don't come out at the same time, in a sense it also has many advantages to me.

I like it too that because the collections are released later here we have more time to think about what to buy based on the extensive swatches and reviews.

However I just think that it crosses the line between the advantage and the annoyance when the collections are released one month or more later when in the US already the next collections are released. I hope MAC can strike a balance here.

Its funny, that everybody here is so excited about the MSFs- excluding me...maybe someone likes to explain the specialness of a MSF?

I agree on the fact that swatches and reviews help us a lot. But do we really need at least a month between US and the rest of the world release dates, i don't think so.
I was thinking i'll be buying the whole collection too, but a week of reading reviews and seeing swatches was enough to set my mind on it.

MAC really outdid themselves with these MSF's in my opinion...
The only MSF's I own are Nothern Lights, Lightscapade, New Vegas, and Petticoat.

The texture of these seems to be much much better then the ones I listed before.
Im actually thinking of selling my petticoat now...
Usually I dont jump on the MSF's but these ones were l.o.v.e.

How shimmery are they on the skin? This is the part I am afraid of the most.
It's an odd comparison but are they kinda as shimmery as Shroom e/s? Because I can't stand the shimmer of this e/s.

My list will change when I see the products. I have a few bronzers so I think maybe I can pass Redhead MSF. 226 is really nice. I'm considering it.

The Redhead is gorgeous and not like a bronzer at all. Or at least on me. You should have some space for it in you plan
winks.gif

The Blonde is nice, but not nearly as nice as the Redhead.
The 226 is

I will never understand why someone would want to make a brush like this LE.
I was a bit unsure if I like Red Devil, but I really really do. It has a lot of colour on its own.
Pincurl actually turns pink on my hand

Maybe it is just the light. And Knight comes pretty close to my perfect grey.

I applied redhead and blonde msf yesterday...I think u have to use the right brush with these because sometimes, when I just use a regular blush brush and no blush underneath the MSF, it comes out looking...like nothing on me?

Wow, thanks for the picture. Looks like Brunette is really working well if you are pale. You look gorgeous.

They have a lot of shimmer, at least in my opinion. But not as metallic as Petticoat. Just again on my skin.

Petticoat isn't really metallic on my skin because mine has a nice decent amount of veining. I am still unsure if I would like them because I wouldn't like them if they are as shimmery as Shroom is.
th_dunno.gif

edit: Shroom isn't really shimmery I think sheen is the better word.

It has an odd sheen under my eyebrows that I don't like.
