MAC - Cham Pale Discussion

Loving that promo shot. Her eyes look amazing, and I love that lippy colour, too. If there was an eyeshadow dupe for Dangerous Cuvee, I'd definitely like to know.

Since the only thing I'm keeping from this collection is Straight to the Head lipgelee, I wish the lipgelees came in a wider range of colors because I do love them. I may pick up Sintillation because I did see pink in it unlike Luxure which is exactly like Resort Life. I know lipgelees aren't for everyone, but if I can put up with Dazzleglass, I can put up with these. So, I'm going to get Sin-tillation and Rose Ole and return DC paint pot and No Kick. Blaaaah!!!

Glad I could warn the rest of you ladies. HerGreyness told me so, but I am the type who needs to see for myself or otherwise, I will remain curious and that kills me.

I've found some more Cham Pale swatches http://www.vampyvarnish.com/2010/12/23/mac-cham-pale-collection-winter-2011/

You can see how glittery the gelees are

I'm a little scared about the glitter in the paint pots but after swatching them on my hand and loving the 2 I picked (Let Me Pop & Dangerous Cuvee) & seeing the spring runway photos where it was used, I'm still getting them. I know I can make these work. Plus Flustered lipstick, Chez Chez Lame h/l powder & both eyeliners... Oh and a pan form of Retrospeck. A nice easy collection, I think it's my 1st MAC collection where I'm not stressed about missing something or everything selling out. I'll probably pick up some perm items as well.

Are the lip gelees just very glittery or are they frosty, almost metallic like I felt Resort Life was? I like glitter, but frost is a no no for me when it comes to lips. Dazzleglasses in general are not very glittery or sparkly to me, they look just like a regular lipglass on my lips. So I would like to have a gloss that does sparkle (like for example Flurry Of Fun, that's a beautiful sparkly sea of diamonds), but not create a frosty high shine metallic mess. I suck at explaining.

The highlight powders and the quad don't look too bad. Do I need them?

I like them on the vampyvarnish swatches.

A few more days until I see them IRL. I hope.

I know what you mean, PinkBasset.

The new Lipgelée looks very sparkly. They remind me of the ones from the Lillyland collection. I'm sure some girls will love them. I'll swatch them on my hands and be amazed. Probably that's it.

I had really high hopes for these new paint pots, but I think they're going to be way to frosty for me. For anyone else who's disappointed, I do recommend checking out Benefits creaseless cream shadows. Sephora has 4 exclusives, a silver one (silver spoon), an white one (ice shot), teal w/gold (tidal wave) and a lavender (purple snap). I have the first 2 plus Skinny Jeans and Birthday suit. I absolutely love them. Some colors are more shimmery but not glittery or overly frosty. Its what I hoped these new pp's would be like.

I'm still going to grab IGNK liner. If I was younger I'd grap a gelee LOL

I'm telling you the paint pots were my biggest disappointment from the word swatch. On Sunday I was able to walk away from them without a second thought. I hope Rose Ole works out for you. I love it!

i checked out the paint pots today and what a disappointment. Seriously Benefit's creaseless cream shadows are a million times better.
This MAC Collection is a big let down for me!

Do you think Skinny Jeans is similar to Dangerous Cuvee? In my mind it is, but I haven't seen anyone compare them...

I'm getting Dangerous Cuvee no matter what the reviews are. I really like the looks of it. :)

Can they just put the Collections up already? I don't want to wait anymore!

PinkBasset I totally agree with that. I like glitter, but not too frosty stuff. It makes my eyes look way more old haggish than need be. But glitter looks fun and playful. I used my RSVP as a base today and really liked it. SO maybe I don't need Dangerous Cuvee. I think I will get Vintage S no matter what cuz I love mauve. The cool toned gold sounds like a must have for me, but I am worried about Shontay's comment it will make the eyeshadow I use over it break up. this sucks, I wanted to love the PP

The lipsticks and gelees I can't get behind because too much Frostiness. I am skipping the Lavender because I think it will irritate my sensitive skin.

The Rose Ole, IGNK, and Feline are looking like all I need ATM. Money saved I guess. maybe I will just back back ups of both the liners?

Shontay - that sucks about the paint pots. I guess I stick to the Benefit creaseless shadows then.

HerGrayness - thanks my love! you are always too kind and ur recommendationss on the products are always on the point!

Teresita - if you find a dupe for Very Important n/p, please let us all know. I really like the colour for i keep reading how the brush strokes are a pitah!

So I def won't be getting any lip products as I like mine either matte or creamy. I'm not too big on sparkles on the lips. The 8 dazzelglasses/dazzleglass creams I have barely get used anymore. I am still psyched about Chez Chez Lame powder. One of my blogger friends got it for her sister who's the exact same completion as me (NW25) and said it looked absolutely divine on her! I also will pick up I Get No Kicks e/k and Soiree n/p :)

Me too! I really like DC on the model and also I don't have anything like that or with glitter.
