I know...I don't either, but I had to get them. Love the colors. In fact, they should be in todays mail!

Can you let us know how the quality is? I'm really curious about them mostly because of the colors but always hear complaints about the gift set brushes quality.

Ok used them this morning and I really like them. No hairs came out. They worked nicely. I cleaned them with the MAC brush cleaner. So far, very happy with them.

Which set did you get? And how do you compare them to the full-size versions (if you have them).

I got the eye set. This morning I used the 227, 224, and 266. I had all of those already so now I've got two of each! The 227 was exactly like the one I already had. I use it for concealer and eye primer. I really enjoyed using the 224, don't really see a difference from the original I have. And I love using the 266 for fluidline. Just like the one I already own.

I have not used the 219 yet and don't have anything like that. And I did not use the 129 yet but do have a full size at home.

Thank you! That's the exact set I want. Definitely going to purchase now. I hope I can find them in store.

I was watching Mac's Cine-matics video today, and they say that the shadows from Double Feature 1 are Golden Lemon and Nocturnelle. I don't have Nocturnelle, but now that I know this I might not get this duo. And the yellow is a lot like Bright Future from Style Warrior ( I compared the descriptions)?

I will check out the brushes in person. But I just can't see me spending the $ when I all of those in full size and SE. However they're so freaking cute. I really do wish they would have done the bag like a clear with colorful graffiti all over it. I think that would have looked cool with the brushes. The bag is so fall/winter looking to me.

I do think this is a great gift for someone starting out, especailly someone young. This might be a good gift for my daughter-in-law. She loves makeup but I'm not sure if she has any or many brushes. And who knows what the holiday sets will look like.

well golden lemon is a pigment and looks quite different.... i'd say the yellow looks quite a bit like bright future as you say :)

I got the face brush set and I'm quite enjoying it so far. They all feel soft to me and although I don't own the full size of these, I have felt them in the store. I personally like the short handles of these sets and this is actually the fourth brush set I have purchased.

I have all of these brushes already but the colors are so pretty!

I agree. Golden Lemon is brighter and has a lot more frost to it (too much to my liking), but it's still a very pretty piggie.

lol! yeah i have that issue with golden lemon. it's lovely but i don't use it that often... and the fall out from it is crazy! normally pigments and me get on fine with minimal fallout but i end up with golden lemon all over my face!

I think GL works better as a highlighter - mixed up with a more neutral pigment such as Naked or Vanilla - and applied with a very light hand. It's inevitable that you get some fall-out with the chunkier piggies such as Rose, Old Gold, or Golden Lemon.

Green Room and Performance Art

She describes Green Room as "a beautiful turquoise-green, greener than Surfing USA (which is also a turquoise green), and Performance Art as "A sort of mole-purple with gold glitter" (translation courtesy of Google, so it could be a little out)

She also shows a comparison swatch of Surf USA, Green Room and Blue Sorcery.
