So back to the Colour Ready topic...

I bought both Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone and the Line Filler and I have to say, I'm not loving the Skin Refined Zone.

I have large pores on my nose and I think the pores look bigger and more obvious after using the Skin Refined Zone, letting it dry and then applying some foundation. My pores look worse -- with little NW15 dots.

I'd rather do a just a light application of foundation and some sheer powder and no emulsion that helps cloak visible pores. I look better without it.

The Skin Refined Zone is also limited, but the Line Filler isn't.

I actually like both the Refined Zone & Line Filler.

I don't have large pores, but there is a noticeable difference in the smoothness of the skin after applying RZ. It is similar to the Idealist pore minimizer from Estee Lauder, however I think MAC's is MUCH lighter, & smoother feeling. It really made my skin look flawless & silky which I'll take any day.

A major plus for me, is that I can't feel either on my skin which would drive me crazy!

The line filler was also noticeable - mostly around the eye area, giving it a wide awake/well rested look. At 49, I don't have wrinkles

(psst - don't be hatin)

so other than laugh lines *snicker* I didn't really have any place else to apply it. Thumbs up for the eyes though!

Boo on the size! I felt the tubes could have been a little larger, but then I'm not paying $50 bucks or so for them.

I don't know what to do. I have so many "pore minimizers", "line erasers", "primers" and "mattefying" shizz that I'm just not sure if I'm going to try again. I am so tired of spending the money. I know that nothing short of surgery will mask the dipping bowl pores and road map lines on my face. I'm thinking about not smiling, frowning, getting pissed or showing any emotion for awhile. I'll let you know how it works out.

I was going to use the Line Filler around my eyes too. I don't really have any place else to use it and we are of the same generation. I credit the no lines to never smoking... what about you?

However, now I'm wondering if I should give the Refined Zone a second chance. I only used it one time and hated the feel of it and the way my nose looked with its tiny foundation dots of colour.

Is there a trick to using it? I let it dry... before applying foundation, which I only use sparingly.

Nope, no smoking, no sun & prolly good genes from Ma & Pa too. They are in their late 80's & look really good

I just used a little bit & kinda smoothed it out. Yeah, give it another shot. Its supposed to help with the pores over time too - or so I think I read.

I just lightly touched my finger where I applied everything & it feels so soft & really silky. It looks the same now as when I applied it earlier.

Oh, try applying it lightly, then stand back a little & look at your whole face instead of up close in the mirror & see if you don't see a difference then

Stand back? I use a x15 mirror to see as much as possible.

(I agree about the SPF - that is hugely important.

By the way I went to two MAC's today and the Line Filler or T-Zone did nothing for me and the MA's said that i really didn't need it to keep using the reg primer ...they all said it would be a waste of money for me to get...So that was a saving...But I do like the powder.

Do you like the powder better than the Select Sheer/Pressed? That's my favourite.

I forgot to even look at that white powder today!
