MAC Cosmetics Dame Edna Discussion Part II

I b2m'ed for Possum Nose Pink today (Snowscene too). I wasn't bowled over by the trios so I skipped them and I didn't even attempt to swatch the BP's. The lipsticks are very vibrant and pigmented but I couldn't see myself wearing any of them that often. I was disappointed b/c I actually liked the colors, especially Coral Polyp, but I knew it would not look good on me.

The lipglasses are lovely. Splendid was a little too frosty on me, and Hot Frost was pretty but I felt like I may have something similar . I settled on Possum Nose Pink which is a really pretty pink/red gloss with multicolored shimmer. I don't have anything like it - yay!

Yay I *will* be getting Possum Nose Pink for sure! Probably will be getting most of the lippies too. Seem like a lot of people aren't too pleased with the eyeshadows and highlight powders, which is good because I can save some money and by-pass them.

Anybody bought the nail lacquer? I'll like some feedback about the Violet colored one.

I suspect you got stuck with an MA who either didn't know/understand the B2M policy or was just being a jerk. You should be able to B2M for this stuff.

I'm sorry to hear that...I guess it depends on the MA or store?

This was actually the first time I ever b2m and I thought you couldn't do it for LE items but I figured I would ask anyway, and the MA said it was fine - she was very nice and helpful. Are you in NYC? I went to the MAC in the Flatiron building.

Very well-taken pictures and they are tempting me.

Wisteria looks so pretty, but to buy the whole e/s trio just for that one color is not worth it IMO.

that's wierd cause it wasnt like my first time there i go to this mac all the time and she tried twice and said its not working so i bought 2 e/s with empties and depoted them so now i can't even bring them back argg im angry

Awww ... thanks! I seem to be a sucker for bright colours and special packaging ... the plan was actually to buy the whole collection, but seeing that I didn't need another red nail polish and the powders were TOTALLY disappointing I skipped those.

The good news is that I got Tilt e/s, Surreal e/s, Bright Sunshine e/s, Indianwood p/p, Soft Ochre p/p and Pink Poodle l/g with the money that I had saved for the Dame Edna powders! Yay for discretion (yes that is sarcasm ... I have no discretion at this point!)

Under the overspray they are completely matte and really chalky and powdery .. messy even! I am an NC20 and they completely disappeared on me ... so I wouldn't make the trip just for those. I was thinking that I might be able to use them as blushes, but they weren't even trying for that since they just disappear on my skin.

It sounds like a good trade-off. You bought 6 products in place of 2 (crappy) highlight powders.

Thank god this collection is relatively small. Planning to buy the whole collection of BBR and HK is gonna cost a bomb!

I swear Hot Frost is a dazzleglass. I compared it to one of them and the sparkle is the same as well as the stickiness! lol It has such high shine b/c of the glitters.

I cannot get over how pleasantly surprised I am with Coral Polyp! I will try and post up swatches tomorrow.

I did a look and traded off Kanga-rouge and Coral Polyp. Ah, love Coral Polyp so much.

Though I really like Kanga-rouge as well. It's definitely a blue-red, it's beautiful! Very pigmented.

The trios I didn't even bother with. I looked at Wisteria maybe. But it was chalky.
I skipped the glosses though. I was only going to buy 2 things only. So I stuck to that. I'm so proud of myself.
