The formula, idk, why do I find it drying while mature lips don't? Does that mean young lips have less moisture in them than mature ones?

My understanding is: When you are younger, the lipid barrier in your lips is stronger. Like many things, this breaks down over time. The moisturizing ingredient in the cremesheens is olive oil, which is wonderful, but if you've still got a strong lipid barrier, it's not going to sink in nearly as much, now is it? It makes sense to me, too, that the formula varies a bit from shade to shade, because what product isn't like that?? I find vast differences amongst lipglass shades and also notice differences amongst varying shades in every MAC formula lipstick I have (which is, uh, pretty much all of them).
