I was thinking all morning while I was at my boring luncheon, that I'm not into the 'dupes' thing. I personally think MAC is so great at color, that a shade may be close, but not the same. And, different in texture or an added pearl base, reformulated, etc. that will make an apparent dupe apply completely different. And, they may look the same in the pot but not so much on your personal skin type or preference. And, swatches are all subject to skin type, cameras, lighting & monitors.
I teach people about color, like this: if you look at a leaf IRL, it's green. But, if you look at it from an art/creative perspective, that leaf has a multitude of different shades of green that create a very dimensional and appealing look. So for instance, when i do my eyes, i may use several shades/depths of the same color family to create dimension to my eyes. When I line my eyes, I will use 3-4 shades of brown from mid-tone to espresso to bronze layered to create dimension. Or, if I use black to line, I will use black, gray, grey/blues, or deep browns.
Anyhow, I'm getting both choc. & violet quads., maybe skip the blushes 'cause I gotta have most of the Sonic Chic
