MAC - Cult of Cherry Discussion

Last night, no lip colour was working until I finally just grabbed Cherry Blossom and went with it. Hurray!

i bought all 3 quads from the COC collection and i love all 3 of them.

wonderful shadows with good textures.

Amen to that. I love all three - although I wear Spiced Chocolate and Tempting a bit more often than Shadowy Lady.

I bought all three quads too but got so frustrated with Shadowy Lady that I depotted it and sold Lightfall, that shade did nothing for me

Lightfall needs a really good base, like a shadestick.

I just felt it was just too much hassle for me. I also had difficulties combining Deep Thruth wiht the purples, I always ended up looking like I've been bunched in the face.. But I'm happy now I have two amazing quads and three lovely shadows in my 15 pan palettes

I could never do that to a quad... My makeup OCD would start screaming.

For example, showflower quad. I only really like one colour in it, and yet I still keep it and try to use all the shadows now and then, only to look like I've been assaulted by glitter and get really annoyed.

I think my mutilation of the quad was a one sort of OCD too, I just could not stand it that I just wasn't making the colours work together for me. It was bothering me so much that I just couldn't leave the quad be since everytime I took it out to use one of the colours it reminded me of that fact that I just don't know how to use them all in one eye

I have Shadowy Lady and Tempting quad and still love both

I always think: There was someone at MAC who thought these four colours should be together in a quad

So I try my best and make them work together

I've been using Cherry Blossom a lot lately, I think I should have bough a back up of this one.

i wish i had bought the coc lipglass - it's the only thing i'm sad about missing!

so scarlet lippie is still amazing! i use it for every girls night out i go on! (which isn't many so it's barely been used!!) but me loves it!

Russian Red lipglass is amazing! I love it because it is a creme and it is so opaque.

I've worn that combo several times, and it definitely does rock.
I also just tried out So Scarlet with Russian Red l/g over it, and...wow. It subtly deepens and intensifies the red in So Scarlet, and creates a gorgeous vinyl-like lip. (Cult of Cherry lipglass intensifies the pink tones in So Scarlet, I find.)

I ended up with all 3 quads, one at a time. But I really use them, I use what I like, mix it up, I don't care if they all don't work together(in one Palette), I figure something out.

Amen! I always think there's a reason for the colors to be together...and lo and behold, there usually is a sensible combo waiting.

Like the Stowaways quad...it looked like pee and poop, but honestly is a GORGEOUS quad when applied. It was so under-appreciated.
