Having been into MAC for a couple of years now, I also don't feel as pressured to buy it all from a collection anymore. What is great about that now is, that when I do buy an item (Solar White, Illegal Cargo, Port Red) it is more special for me because I'm only getting the ones that I think I'll love from a collection. Usually because of that, those items tend to get more usage than when I mass-buy from a collection like Heatherette. I'm not as overwhelmed like a kid in a candy store not knowing which item to wear first. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but I feel like I'm getting the pick of the litter, so to speak, when I shop that way.

totally agree with you hun!!! i've been into MAC since 2004 and in the beggining i used to buy SO much stuff, i was 20 and was so excited to buy
professional makeup LOL i felt like i had to have EVERYTHING, at the end of the day i realised i just couldn't use all and most important, most of it didn't look that good on me or just couldn't use it too often cos it was too much for school or everyday use
now i think i'm a bit over MAC (if you know what i mean) and even though i still love it i've learned to pick and choose, and now i only buy one or two things from collections, sometimes skipping them completely...

It means I'll be buying less things from each collection and feeling disappointed that I missed out on things I wanted to buy.
Note to MAC: Buying make-up should not be a stressful event! Please don't spoil the joy of buying make-up by bringing out so many collections that we can't keep up with them. I know it's a business, but at the moment if feels like they're just cynically trying to sell us the same products, by releasing the same colours over and over again with different names in LE form. No way to treat loyal customers!

thanks for this nadiya, i wish MAC would realise it's a bit too much, it's just not that fun anymore, but like i said i'm over it now after more than 4 years LOL
and worst of all, i think the new LE eyeshadows are not as nice and pigmented as some of the old permanent ones
don't know, i think MAC is slowly going downhill...
