I agree 100%.....I haven't hauled like this since 2007's Blue Storm and Smoke Signals collection....

And yes, Audreynicole, your FOTD is simply gorgeous. Everything is so well-blended and well-balanced......It just amazes me how this collection can compliment both an NW15 and NW45.

MAC got it right!

I think if someone doesn't feel comfortable in the dark lippies, they should try the lipglasses. They're just sheer lighter colors of the lippies

Now, I haven't seen it, but it sounds like Smudged Violet might look good with Climate Blue from Cool Heat?

Thank you, thank you! And I agree 110%. This collection that will suit and and every complexion. I thought Cool Heat would be my collection of the year, but this one just might surpass it. I am so pleasantly surprised by everything

Is Illegal Purple similar to Chanel's Vamp? From the pics I've seen they look pretty close & I have Vamp so I'm hoping to pass on I.P.

OK, I may be toooo filthy telling you this, but I showed my husband Kirsh mattene on the MAC webpage, and he said his Coc would definitely respond positively to that colour on my lips! LOL!

AudreyNicole- thank you so much for posting that picture! I thought that I was too pale for these (especially the lipsticks since most of them are so dark) since I'm a NW15 but after seeing this collection on you I just have to go out and buy some. Especially that mattene. It's gorgeous on you!

I'm so glad that these deep colors for lips are so in style now and have everyone excited. While I love light lips and smokey eyes, I think it's nice to switch it up every now and again. And I just LOVE the glamour of red lips. YIP!!

Now with that out of the way, I went to the Pro store this rainy afternoon, and maybe it was all the blah weather going on, but man, I was really let down.

I honestly don't think there was anyone on this board who was as amped for the Cherry deliciousness in the collection, but when I finally got to see it, person to...makeup, it fell flat.

Not because the colors were bad, but they were all so...done. Everything just seemed dupable! Even So Scarlet-which I'm sure I have even an Avon l/s around somewhere that gives me the same effect. Bing itself is just the browner version of Cyber. The Spiced Chocolate squad...I can dupe 3/4 of that with Milani shadows! I have a Sally Hansen nail polish that is exactly like Illegal Purple, and though Silverstroke is a pretty pinky taupe, it's just not for me.

Smudged Violet however, hmm...

My friend who's having a b-day soon did accompany me, and she got her face did. Very dramatic using the Tempting quad, Bing, and Jampacked-which I don't see a resemblance to Pop Mode that much in. She looked amazing when it was all said and done, so today wasn't a complete waste. I ended up getting her the two lip products and Nightmoth as b-day presents.

I'll probably go back and get one of the quads, and b2m a lip product. Such a shame, though, I think I'm out of the Cult now.
