Lightly Ripe is pretty though. I am finally seeing the light. It looked a bit different on me today than before, almost a Strawberry pink color. I think the last time I wore it, I was swatching lip stuff, my lips were irritated, and that made the color look different.

I can see why you feel the love though.

So you would describe it as a strawberry pink color? That sounds super pretty. So it's reddish-pink?

I wish I could love Blooming, maybe it's better for me that I don't, but wow did it make my pores look huge! And it did somehow look quite frosty on me... maybe b/c the MA didn't use P&P spf50 on me to mattify my skin so it made the product go weird on my cheeks but it was bad enough that I didn't give walking away a second thought.

Kirsch, however, is lovely. Still gotta work on what eyes to match it with but I'm loving the colour alone. Haven't played with So Scarlet yet, I'll wait till next week. I'll keep my m/u summery till September hits!

Blooming is just the best. Most blushes look like they're sitting on top of my skin, but this looks like a natural flush, as if it's melded with my skin. I didn't get any frost with mine. The soft pink is just so pretty.
Two questions for MAC:
1. Why is this limited edition,?
2. Do you do this just to break our hearts?

I'd likely break out the Lightly Ripe with some Rich & Ripe or Cherry Blossom gloss. Or, for a darker look, Kirsch with Jampacked or Bing with CoC.

Damn it, I am starting to like the look of the Spiced Chocolate quad. Damn damn damn! I just hope that there are dupes in the perm collection that are good enough... because I really shouldn't be splurging right now.

How does the Blooming Blush compare to the Angel Blush (d/c), is Blooming very peachy / greyish? There were some great swatches but it didn´t look the same in every pic, sometimes just right for me and sometimes too dark / too peach.

And how does Lightly Ripe L/S compare to the Party Mate L/S (or also Sweetie? - I tried the search on Sweetie but seems the previous question by someone else was lost or no one knew it at that point).

Thanks a lot for all comments! =)

I used to have Angel and as I recall it was a much purer baby pink in the pan. On the cheeks it had a very light color payoff on my NW20 skin. Blooming does look duskier in the pan, but for me has a very pretty natural flush on the cheeks. No peach, but a hint of plum that means you can use a plummy blush like X-Rocks as a contour.

I went back today to pick up Museum Bronze pigment and somehow walked out with that and Jampacked. I am holding each and everyone of you responsible for this! I haven't played with much of yet, because I'm just not feeling the rich shades while there's still a bit of summer left. But I did try the Spiced Chocolate palette and was very very happy with it. Also put on Chock-ful today very lightly with Lightly Ripe over it, liked Chock-ful, not sure if I'm crazy about Lightly Ripe though. I'm thinking of exchanging this for Rich & Ripe lipglass.

You made some very good purchases and i am sure they will all work for you including LIghtly Ripe so keep it!! and purchase Rich and Ripe L/G to go with it. I used this combo with Plum lipliner and it was to die for!! Or try it with one of your other lipglass and see how that works! you can make Lightly Ripe work for you,you just have to play with a bit trust me

^^^Damn straight! Plum liner, Lightly Ripe & Rich & Ripe. Perfect combo. I have a pic of it where I'm seducing all of you a few pages back. Perfect if you don't want to go too dark!

Argh my list keeps changing I am so undecided about CoC.

At first i wanted the spiced chocolate quad.
Now I am debating not getting the quad and getting Kircsh, lightly ripe and one of the blushes!! (I can't have both as I'm on a budget!)

Which of the bluses would work best on a NW20? I have all the BPB's are blossoming/plum d'bois similar to any of these?

xx

Hmm... if you can only have one of the blushes, I'd probably go with Blooming, as it's that perfect glow-from-within soft pink. I'd almost forgo Kirsch and get both blushes, because they're both gorgeous, and, much as I adore Kirsch, it's a colour lippie I've seen before.

Has anyone tried patting So Scarlet lightly over Chock-ful? I still can't get So Scarlet to look decent on me (over Burgundy, Currant or Velvetella) and I'm deciding between trying that combo or just getting rid of it! I love Kirsch and Bing so much that it's probably not worth standing on my head to make So Scarlet work for me, but I can't help wondering about Chock-ful.

Have you tried So Scarlet over a brighter liner, such as Beet? I also really like it over Red Enriched. Maybe you just need to try it over a liner that has more red to it.

rbella - Lightly Ripe is getting love from me again

Winthrop44 - I had to use a tissue to blot SS about 3 times, then I really liked it. I put Cherry Blossom over it then.

If anyone is on the fence about Blooming - Get Blooming!!!! get it get it get it
