Ok so I *finally* got my CoC haul, and it was so fun, especially since this is the first time I've been to a MAC store in 4 months! It was so weird, lol. Anyways here are my much-belated thoughts:
Shadowy Lady Quad: This was as pretty as I had hoped it would be! Smudged Violet is a great color, similar to Trax in that it is kind of like a shimmery purple, but this is a gray-blue purple vs. trax which is warmer and seems to be more red based. Lightfall is also a well-pigmented, very pretty color. Smudged Violet can also look great as a light sweep of color over Shadowy Lady.
Tempting Quad: I wore Sharp over Mosscape today and it was a beautiful combo, creating a mossy green color. Sharp can really come off either bright green or darker, depending on what you pair it with. Very versatile. Next to Nothing is also a great highlight color! Tempting is very blendable, and so is Dark Edge. I found Dark Edge to be creamy.
Bing Mattene: So dark! OMG it looks black on my lips! I'm NC20 though. But anyways, it is very dark, probably the darkest of the mattenes, and Vino lipliner looks good with this.
Kirsch Mattene: I thought I would like Bing the best, but seeing Kirsch in person definitely changed my mind! Now I realize why everyone was raving about it. It is a beautiful color, lighter than Bing, definitely easier to work with. Vino lipliner also worked underneath.
Jampacked: Looks just like Jam, but is totally hot! Looks great paired over Kirsch or even with a nude lipstick like Myth to bring out the color. So pretty!
Cult of Cherry: This looked pink on my lips, over Myth, but is very pretty in every way! I like it because I cannot for the life of me get red lipstick to get a good shape on my lips, so lipglass still lets me do the red but not look horrible!
Liquer: One of my favorites by far! Looks kind of brownish in the tube but applied very light as a mauve. Pretty!
Blooming: As NC20 this shows up really well, very pretty pink that brightens the cheeks and plays well with all the other "cult of cherry" looks.
Silverstruck lacquer: Unique mauve color, reminds me much of Smudged Violet in a bottle or something. Looks good as a thin layer over dark purple nail polish too (like Illegal Cargo).
All in all, I love the CoC!
