I was at my local drug store last night with my friend and we were talking about how I'd show her the newest MAC stuff when we got back to her place, because I thought there was a quad she'd love (Spiced Chocolate). The girl who was ringing my friend through perked up and said, "The Cherry one?!?"

This collection is gonna be the death of my wallet I swear! In addition to the spiced chocolate quad, creme cerise, liqueur, so scarlet and cult of cherry, I just bought kirsch, and the shadowy lady quad and heritage rouge, I also want jampacked since it's now sold out online. Which is exactly why MAC should add the limited edition pieces to the permanent line, to help fill some of the void created by all their recent insane discontinuation of things.

The folks at MAC should take that comment to heart...and make some of these LE shades permanent (like Smudged Violet and Brash eyeshadows, and So Scarlet lipstick).

Actually, I used Light Fall over the entire lid and then Smudged Violet on the outer corner and it did remind me a little of Illegal Cargo, especially when I wore IC with Smoke & Diamonds. It's a little more on the grey side though.

Skin: Plum Du Bois.
Eye: Tempting all over lid, Dark Edge in crease, Sharp as inner eye highlight, Next to Nothing for highlight (browbone), Blacktrack lining top lashes, Antiquity on lower lashes, All Black mascara. Coquette on brows.
Lip: Petting Pink, Whirl liner, Lightly Ripe lipstick, Cherry Blossom lipglass.

Lightfall
Skin: Blooming.
Eye: Lightfall all over lid with Smudged Violet on outer third, Deep Truth in crease, Blitz & Glitz lining top lashes with Shadowy Lady lining lower lashes, Zoomblack mascara. Kid and Lingering on brows.
Lip: Beurre liner, Lightly Ripe Lipstick, Rich & Ripe lipglass.

Chock-ful
Skin: Plum Du Bois.
Eye: Nanogold all over lid, Spiced Chocolate in crease, Porcelaine highlight, Boot Black lining top lashes and Spiced Chocolate lining bottom lashes. 36 Lash and Black mascara. Browning on brows.
Lip: 80% liner, Chock-ful, Clear lipglass.

Well, I finally caved, and made another purchase. Got Blonde's Gold (I haven't seen this in person, but the swatches look nice), Burgundy l/p, Bitter (didn't need Tempting quad for one eyeshadow, and this will do), Rich & Ripe, Shadowy Lady, and Kirsch. Nice that there was free shipping.

My justification was I'm going to New Orleans and a wedding in October, and I can always use the eyeshadows and dark lipsticks for Halloween parties, at the very least. (Boo to husbands who don't like makeup... that they can see, anyway ^_^). Definitely should not buy any more makeup for a while.
