So I decided to get Date Night (I love all the ones with the blueish pearl in them) and it is amazing. It is perfect as far as the sparkle goes but also the fact that it has the most actual colour of any of the ones I have is a big plus.

Thank you to everyone who is emailing MAC because I did literally the day of the launch. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I only wanted 5 or 6 initially-now I want all of them. I am not joking.

I emailed MAC to beg for them to make them permanent as well! lol I also ordered two more, Funtabulous and Sugar Rimmed! So excited!! It was incredibly hard to decide, I want lots more but there is so much coming up that I want this summer that I just can't afford them allll. =(

are u guys kidding me? what the hellllllll is wrong with my dazzleglass?
I got steppin out. Its like a slightly shinier lipglass. An ugly color on me at that...too...violet-ish pinky.

besides me not liking the color, it is not shimmery and shiny and "amazing" like you guys say. And its really starting to frustrate me! I've tried it over fleshpot, bare lips, 2n, 3n.....its unspecial over all of them???

what the hell?

i dig mine. i got bare necessity and like venus...not really what i expected, but they're nice nonetheless. the sparkle in them is really buildable which i'm stoked about because sometimes too much glitter makes me look like a hooker...so it's good that i have to get that much glitter on purpose haha. i kind of thought, after seeing the swatches, i hadn't made a good purchase because they look too glittery, but they're just perfect.

I have found that the Dazzleglasses become less sparkley looking and a little "unspecial" when used with a similar lipcolor to the glitter color. Today I tried Get Rich Quick on a Customer that was wearing a beigey-bronze lipstick already, and it just added a gloss, no apparent glitter finish. I am not sure because I have not personally used Steppin' Out myself, but it could be like that. If you want obvious glitter and not more of a subtle finish, try one that has an unexpected color in it. For example Comet Blue, Pleasure Principle (because they have blue in them), Rags To Riches, or Sugarrimmed. Hope that helps!!

This is very true. I tried Comet Blue over Orchidazzle and it was ok. I tried Love Alert over Port Red and it was ok. But, I tried Funtabulous over Melrose Mood and really liked it.

EDITED: I also tried Pleasure Principle over Port Red and that was gorgeous! It completely changed the look of the lipstick. The blue glitter in the dazzleglass made the lipstick a plum color with a lot of sparkle. It was really interesting.

Steppin out is one of the one I have no interest in. I did get surgarimmed and it looks killer over fleshpot.

It may depend on the store, but at mine, these are the rules:

-Most regular promotion lip color products are allowed. Of things I know first hand: Lipglass, Lustreglass, Pro-Longwear, Slimshines, Plushglass, Lipsticks, Dazzleglass. The only exclusion is anything in the Viva Glam line.
-Packaging designs like Lure, Moonbathe, Heatherette, etc. are not considered special packaging because they cost the same.
-Holiday packaging is considered special packaging because of the increased cost. However, I've been told that I may B2M for what was left of the lipsticks after the promotion had finished.

I was able to B2M for two Dazzleglasses and bought a third. I went for Comet Blue, Date Night, and Glamour O.D. but it was really hard to narrow it down to just 3. I hope they do make these permanant and add more colors. I'd love a deep, Hedwig-esque garnet or a true nude with rainbow glitter.

Today I am wearing Fun N Sexy from Fafi with Baby Sparks over it and OMG, I love it. Baby Sparks just makes it awesome. At first I was really meh about Fun N Sexy, but now I am glad I have it.

As far as the colour not showing up, what I found is that the ones with the blue pearl tend to show up more. I am wearing Glamour OD and it is more subtle on me...like if I wear it over bare lips I can barely tell anything.

Well ladies I broke down and bought 4 more on top of the 2 I bought a couple days ago...I bought Comet blue and Baby Sparks the other day and today I got Miss Fizz, Rags to Riches, Like Venus & Steppin' Out. I wanted to buy another comet blue, but I already have done my damage for the month!! I think these things are the best thing sinced sliced bread! I am going to shoot MAC a e-mail begging to make these permanent.

Holy Cow! I just tried the same combo with a light application of Fun N Sexy & Baby Sparks - it is just like you say - WOW, beautiful

Baby Sparks & Steppin Out are still my faves

I've begged MAC to not only keep these perm, but broaden the color spectrum

Okay girls, I promised myself that I would not purchase ANY of the Dazzleglasses because they are way over-priced. However, I have seen a lot of beautiful lip combinations and I wonder, are these worth the $20 canadian?

*whimper* I want some of these soooo bad! But no money. I just hope my favorite colors aren't gone by the time I get to go... Damn it for not having them on the first.
