Hmm, would there be another one that might be a little more like C-Thru-U? I just love how it looks on my lips but only wanted a hint of color? I will check out BN for sure but if you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Well, IMO, none of the Dazzleglass are going to look like C-thru. They are totally different formulas. If you want a nude color, either Bare Necessity or Sugarrimmed would probably be best. Sugarrimmed is kind of a milky pale pinkish shade with multicolor glitter. It is more opaque than BN but still sheer if that makes sense. Most all of the shades provide just a hint of color since they are sheer. You can check out the swatch board here, ( http://specktra.net/f217/mac-dazzleg...ay-08-a-91190/ ) and maybe that will help you decide better. You could always layer one of the Dazzleglass over C-thru, that way you get the color of C-thru with the glitter from the Dazzleglass.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

so, we've been pretty busy lately with prom and wedding season, so i haven't been able to play around with the colors and get to know them all that well. plus, we haven't gotten our gratis (i don't think we will), so, i haven't really even bothered with them, except when custies wanna try em on. so anyways, yesterday i put one on and it smelled like petroleum or something. i had to take it off immediately cause it was making me sick. so i put on a different one. so today, i was playing around with em, and looked at the one that smelled. it was rags to riches!!! it smelled horrible! i kept smelling the tube to see what it smelled like, and the best description is petroleum. it was awful. and it was one that i was liking. its a beauty-ful pale pink-y nude color. sadly, im gonna pass on these tho. i'll just wear em while i'm at work. but do enjoy them everyone. they are very purrrty.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

So i totally passed up looking at the these the first time i went to mac to get my naughty nauticals fix but then i came on here and started reading the thread and looking at swatches and omgggg!!! So i ended up getting Bare Necessity, Steppin Out and Sugar Rimmed. Im still thinking about getting other ones but the MA said they were selling out of the dazzleglasses fast!! I got the last sugar rimmed at my counter.

Im thinking about getting two more and that's it. Any suggestions???

I emailed them but didn't get that email or response ever. Did I send the email to the wrong place? I emailed customer service.

I'm so scared that I'll hate Rags to Riches now when I get it..

Just because of the smell, not the color.

Me too! People keep raving about the color but I don't want to spend $16.50 if it smells!

For those of you with stinky ones, are you keeping or returning?

i'm keeping mine and i'm just going to hold my breath when i open the tube

i figure i'll run out of it soon anyways!

Would mixing Rags to Riches with Vanilla oil/flavoring fix the smell, does anyone think?

Wow, im gone a day and I miss a whole page of convos. In response to the bimbo comment, nope don't think so. You can be any age and love these babies. I love em so much I purchased all of em!

My bf really likes em. I had on steppin out with my lancome pixel pink and he loved that. Then i had on port red with love alert. The closest adjective he could come up with to describe my lips was juicy. The effect is high gloss, high shine, and a color that is very complimentary to the lipsticks I wear. Im so glad I gave these babies a chance!

Oh, and happy mommy's day to the all you lovely ladies! Audrey, enjoy the shopping spree, you deserve it!

Seeeeeeee, you know you wanna keep it!

Don't return it! Just exchange it! It may be a bad one out of the bunch b/c mine has a strong vanilla scent and it smells delicious! My comet blue kinda has a foul smell but nothing that would make me gag. I think it depends on when they were made maybe?

I did too, the first day at the pro store. I've been wearing them everyday, with and without lipstick. None of mine smell funny either.

All three of my boys (the 2 little ones, and the big one) are going with me tomorrow, so it should be lots of fun! I am definately getting my 2 DGs assuming they have the 2 I want still and if I don't find anything else, I will save it for later!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

Hmmm I ordered about 5-6 different DG online May 7th and it still says "pending"! I didn't order Comet Blue but hope I they aren't all sold out. That would totally suck since I only have one.

They are all SOOOO pretty.

I'm definitely here cheering on the bimbo club. I do hope no one was actually upset by the tale, as it's a silly comment from one girl (that made me shake my head at her even though she's my friend). I don't have any dazzleglasses, but I have been playing with mixing some of my reflects glitters into lipgloss lately!
