That's the great thing (one of the great things) about having a ton of makeup.. You can keep LE stuff around longer if you have a million other things to play with

That's the way I look at it--and it helps me chill out on the limited stuff. Plus, it's an excuse to buy more makeup

Why couldn't MAC have made those darned Dazzleglass tubes *larger?*
You use a Dazzleglass two or three times, and the level goes down so much that you feel like you're already starting to run out!

Cno64, it's funny you should right that- last night after I posted I made a mental note to myself to keep my eye out for glosses that could be used a dupe for BGC.

Let's make a pact- if we find anything close or similar before MAC repromotes this, we'll make a post about it. Deal?

And you're right about using these glosses just a few times and watching the product slowly disappear. I never paid much attention to weight/volume and all that stuff, but I can see it clearly now. If I didn't love DGs so much I wouldn't have bought another one!

My boyfriend like so many others don't appreciate gloss on his face, so I don't get to use them as much as I like to. Thank goodness or all my tubes would be finished in a few months.

MUFE is coming out with glosses made with their diamond powders which I think sparkle so much- we'll see if any of them are comparable to dazzleglass.

In my admittedly limited experience with MUFE, I've noticed that they're good about offering purple/violet shades in their lipsticks and glosses, so I have high hopes.

You are absolutely right. MUFE was one of the first brands I considered when I thought about looking for dupes. They just released 50! new lipsticks. I know there is at least 1 purple. That purple is gorgeous, but too light for BGC.

I was thinking if I didn't find a gloss that was close enough, I would do the lipstick & pigment thing to get a close dupe, since DGs get their sparkles from the reflects glitters, (I think) but I want to find a gloss first. I've never mixed pigments and lippies so I don't know how messy it would be.

They are to be released everywhere early next year I believe, but the glosses are in the NYC MUFE boutique right now. I've never been in the boutique- I'm new to makeup and feel a bit intimidated, but now I am curious as to how this looks in person. I'll buy the purple gloss next week when I get paid and compare the two with swatches.

SPEAKING OF PURPLE, I cracked yesterday, and ordered Hellraiser.
I was going to pass on it; really I was, but I am so loving the way Troublemaker looks over bright pink lipsticks that I just had to see if I can get the same sort of effect with Hellraiser over purple-y shades.
Wow, with Go For It, Hellraiser, and Boys Go Crazy, I expect to be in Purpletopia this fall!

Even my husband thought it was cool looking. He really liked it.


Hellraiser and Liquid Lurex are my favorites from this collection.

Well since I purchased Baby's On Fire a short while ago I felt I could finally join this thread!

I really like the shade and the formula of this lippie.

I thought it would be really glittery and rough on my lips but its not.

Dazzleglass l/s, to me, has a nice smooth texture and the color is gorgeous!

I decided to limit myself to one though.

I now have 30 or 31 lippies in my collection to choose from.

For Real since I don't know what Port Red looks like I reaaally believe you need to get Baby's On Fire.

This is such a gorgeous red.

It'll never take the place of my beloved Ruby Woo but I liked it enough to purchase it and for me, a red lippie has to be unique enough for me to buy it.

Yesterday I placed an order on Naughty You l/s finally since I've been eyeing on that lipstick in July. Cannot wait to try it and I have 36 lipstick (will be 37 when I get Naughty You) and 6 backups so that makes it 40.

I gave in, and bought Hellraiser, after unsuccessfully trying to talk myself out of it.
I stalled so long that it sold out at MAC, and I ended up having to order from Nordstrom, and pay shipping. <grumble, grumble>
BUT, it came yesterday, and it is deeeee- licious!
This is the sparkliest stuff I've ever laid eyes on, and there is NO grit!
This gorgeous silvery blue/lilac shimmer will look stunning over deep purple lipsticks this fall!

Next, I'm going for Baby's On Fire. I'm crazy for this Dazzle formula!

I just sent off an order for Baby's on Fire!
Oh, how I tried to tell myself I didn't need it, since I already have two of Port Red, but this Dazzle formula has really gotten under my skin.
Hellraiser arrived yesterday, and when I saw it, I was impressed anew with the special (dazzling!) shimmer the Dazzles have, and the prospect of a sparkling red one sealed my fate!
Oh, well; if I were going to get it eventually, better to do it now, while I can get it shipped free from MAC, rather than waiting until it's sold out, and I either have to pay Nordstrom for shipping or go bottom-feeding on eBay ...

Baby's on Fire is nothing like Port Red. I don't even remember Baby's on Fire being a what I would call a real red lipstick, it's more muted.

That's fine with me.
The Dazzle lipsticks are so sheer that I find myself using them just to top other colors, anyhow.
The shimmer is really what I'm after.

Even if I don't, I still feel really fortunate, just to have gotten even one.
It would be fabulous to have a backup, however, so I can feel like it's "safe" to wear it, or even swatch it.
