I didn't get anything from that collection, but I went to the actual mac store and finally bought Dubonnet lipstick. I don't know what took me so long

Hello, girls, I saw this and Look in a Box collection at a Nordstrom Rack. Isn't it strange?

They were taking preorders. Poor MUA guy looked a bit out of place, but he was very friendly.

I hope I'll have time to play with the testers next time.

^^You just reminded me that I saw the Look In A Box stuff, too but I totally didn't pay it any mind. I was all about digi pops and my hand was quickly covered in swatches. I wiped it all off and left. Oops.

I saw Digi Pops last week and I really liked it. If you have notoriously dry or heavily lined lips beware of these lipsticks. They WILL settle and be very unflattering, moisturization is key here. That being said they are quite pretty. These do give a shiny 'dazzle' effect that is perfect for layering. Boys Go Crazy Dazzleglass is NOT a color to sleep on. It looks like something you may have but it isn't. If you have Fab Frenzy Superglass or Date Night Dazzleglass, I still recomend giving this a try. It's hella haute! You've Got the Look Dazzleglass IMO is absolutely nothing like Moth to Flame Dazzleglass. If you want a soft sheer orange gloss to enhance other lipcolors grab it. WOC try on Hellraiser Dazzle Lipstick! It will surprise you! It's overt and frosty, but under other lipcolors especially Boys Go Crazy its wild! I also liked the deep hot pink Dazzle Lipstick (can't remember the name). It's really pretty. I'll definitely grab that later. Since the Dazzle Lipsticks are so pretty it's such a shame to cover them with colored gloss all the time so whip out that clear! Miss Violet Look In a Box is gorgeous. So pretty, smooth and pigmented. The Lovestone shadow included is waayy smoother than when it first launched. WOC this is for you! I promise this isn't a sleeper collection. Go in and play with it! ;-)

I tried a few of these in Nordstrom. I did not see Hot Sass but I did try Wham and Infused with Glam. Also tried a pink one I really liked but I don't remember the name. Quite a few were missing from the display. I tried one one and it was not sparkly but not super glittery and went on smooth. I think I could wear these to work. The formula reminded me of Sephora's Star lipsticks which I love. These are really nice. I will definitely pick up a few. I didn't try any of the glosses.

The teal shimmery sparkles are the best part of FoF.....I've been rationing my use of that one since no backup. I guess I'll have to trudge to a Nordstroms and give a final comparison before I go through the hazardous journey of backing up FoF instead.

I went back to the counter and double checked Hi-Falutin and You Got the Look. I do think I'm gonna get Hi-Falutin instead of Glamour OD now because it's a pink that actually works on me (and I can wear it over Gaga!). You Got the Look is a maybe. It's neat, but I'm not sure that I really NEED it.

Fortunately, as I was walking away, I remembered to put some Flurry of Fun on my hand to compare. FOF is a hair more peachy and the glitter is all one color: a pale teal. YGTL seems more sheer, and I noticed the blue sparkle was definitely dark blue. I think there may have been other color glitter in it too, but it was the last one I tried on, so there was residual glitter on my lips already.

Thanks so much for double checking FoF vs. YGTL at your counter. YGTL sounds crazier, that's for sure.....I DO like crazy, though, so the saga continues....

I dare anyone to swatch these lipsticks and not buy a single one. If you want to skip this, you better stay away from a store or counter until it's all gone. I'm excited because I want Hot Sass and Baby's on Fire. They give me a Big Bow vibe and I love it. All that shimmer and shine. So hot for the summer.

^ I agree. I wasn't planning on buying anything after seeing some swatches online but I went to see what the lipsticks look like in person and they're so pretty. I preordered Troublemaker and I've only worn lipstick a few times in my life.

hot sass is an excellent buy! i tried it on at the store, my lips are very pigmented so when i applied it to my lips, it looked quite midtone orange. but when i applyed the orange dazzleglass over it, it turned into a gorgeous light peach lip with lots of shimmer (not glitter) and the MAs were wooing at it

so im definitely gonna pick it up. i imagine if you were to put a bright bold gloss over it, it would also go the other way and look more dramatic. these lipsticks are very versatile for layering. not so great on their own though. i didnt preorder because id rather wait until they go on sale (next thurs?) i really want to try win win, naughty you, and babys on fire (LOL the name)

Does Nordstrom start selling a day or two earlier like some MAC counters or are they strict with the dates? I have to drive an hour to get to a counter (unless The Rack sells them?) so I'd like to be sure.

Those are definately my picks! I liked the color of Sweet Bits but it was too sheer and splotchy.
