No but really shiny which is typical with lustre finish lipsticks from Macplz tell me there is no frostiness in FF.....
I need this! ThanksLast but not least hope this helps everyone
I think this is a misuse of the word "thread". Specktra is a message board that will remain open to the public. We are only discussing making the "color collections" portion private, as is the sale/swap section. So when you see that the threads will be private, it doesn't mean the whole site will be. You would have still found it and been happy as a clam here! Here's my opinion. Unfortunately, there is no legitimate way to perform some sort of "background check" on members/new members to see if they're going to use this thread for the wrong reasons, it's just not gonna work. It's too easy to lie on the internet. Honestly, I think we're doing things right the way they are right now. MAC will always be a race, and it's definitely growing in popularity over the years, this is just inevitable. I see it sort of like ticket scalping. You're never going to get rid of it completely. I think most of the responsibility for Ebayer's marking up prices on an abundance of MAC items is mostly up to MAC to solve, how, I don't know. We're all on our toes though and know when we smell something suspicious.
If this thread hadn't of been public, I would have never found it. I joined when I was 17 years old, I was so happy to find a thread dedicated to something that is a HUGE passion of mine, and is my future. Without this thread... I honestly feel like I wouldn't know half the things I know today about MAC. Specktra dives into the details, the business end of MAC, the artistic end of MAC, the creativity, the economics of MAC. Specktra has always been love for me. I think we're mostly all here for pretty innocent reasons, because it's something we cherish and adore. I love Specktra and would be heartbroken to see it change.
I was just about to write this. For example I've been here from early 2008 and read Specktra every day but don't post almost anything else than my wishlists.I think 500 is more than fair. I post pretty regularly and I'm still not at 500.
But you have pigment. I am pasty lol. I'm skert now.PP is more of a mauve color and SW is a reddish purple and on my arm they are not even remotely close.
Sorry about that, that's what I meant to sayI think this is a misuse of the word "thread". Specktra is a message board that will remain open to the public. Hmm you have a point. I wish hubster was home but it's dark by the time he gets off work. But you have pigment. I am pasty lol. I'm skert now.
totally agree. Here's my opinion. I'm like you, I've been on here a while but I'm a listener by nature and don't comment unless I feel like I have something to say that wasn't already said. I'm just a quiet person that loves mac.I'd rather pay than have to make 500 posts. Between school and looking for a job, I can't just comment on Specktra all day long and I'm not really that talkative which explains my 200 posts in 7 months.
So glad I skipped PP, it's too dark.So glad I got PP! It looks great!
Bwahaha! Good Halloween prank. I dunno why Karla stopped, but in one of her last MAC swatch posts, some reader biznatch complained that Karla was late to the game, the collection had been out for a while, and that her review wasn't useful to readers. How rude and nasty. Some people think they have an SN and that *means* something. Anyway, I am sad that Karla stopped because her swatches were so helpful. I wish her well, wherever she is.OMG no one answered my question!!! Why do ya'll hate me????Just kidding! :haha: But really though, whatever happened to Karla Sugar? Does anyone know? Every once in a while I'll Google an old MAC or NARS product and her swatches come up but she hasn't updated in a while. Anyone know why she's no longer blogging daily?
Would he try it on for us?Hmm you have a point. I wish hubster was home but it's dark by the time he gets off work.
I am still reading through all the posts, can't keep up! lolExactly. Usually I just post what I'm thinking of getting or what I did get, opinions on products, etc. If I could, I would post swatches, but sadly I only have a cheap webcam that doesn't show colors for crap. And my MAC addiction prevents me from buying a better one! xD
That is terrible! Karla waited until collections were at the counter so she could swatch everything and not have to order it all. I don't blame her for that. She was however, a really great resource for looking up permanent items. I miss her!!!I dunno why Karla stopped, but in one of her last MAC swatch posts, some reader biznatch complained that Karla was late to the game, the collection had been out for a while, and that her review wasn't useful to readers.
