So I am still wearing everything from this collection A TON!!!!
I'm just going to say that out of all the 2013 collections, this one has turned out to be my most used - not just in one category like lipstick or blush, but in every category.
I wear the shadows almost every time I wear shadow for the evening - my favorites are the light shade in Captivating, the pale shade in Past Midnight and ALL of Gilded Night and Tonight's Temptation. These are the smoothest, butteriest MES I own and I own a metric butt-load of 'em. I normally don't care for pale frosty shadows on my older lids, but the light colors in this collection work perfectly, have fantastic staying power and never get crepe-y or crease-y. And the black shadows are some of the nicest blacks I own - they blend out to the sheerest whisper and get velvety dense when applied wet. Totally under-appreciated products - I hope future MES are all like these…they're putting even my EDES to shame.
Then there are the MBs and MSFs. Oh Em Gee, I cannot get enough of Talk of the Town, Lavish Living, Centre of Attention and Scene to Be Seen. There is NO earthly reason that CoA and StBS should still be available on the site. Why are they not sold out multiple times over????? They are absolutely worth every penny and again, are some of the best iterations of the MSF formula yet. I even BU'ed CoA, which is the ONLY MSF I've ever BU'ed. CoA is especially great, for being able to control the balance between cool pink and warm gold - you can get your perfect color match with minimal effort. Then StBS is just so complex and lavish. I wear that one with all the vampy lips we've had this year - it's particularly amazing with Hautecore! It's going to be great all year round too, not just wintertime. Then those blushes!!! Lavish Living is one of the most beautiful blushes I own and TotT - that one was sort of an afterthought for me, but I wind up wearing it a few times a week - pretty much every time I want a barely there blush that still gives me plenty of definition. They both really bring out my cheek bones with zero effort, just slap 'em on and go.
Then there are the lippies. I bought PP (plus gloss), EE and PfP and they're all classics. I only wish I had fewer lipsticks so I could give them more love. They're all perfect colors and textures for when you want to make a statement without going over-the-top strong…MAC doesn't always do colors this sophisticated.
This whole collection was a treasure, and I honestly love the packaging too, even if it screams Revlon 1988. If I have to whittle the whole thing down to my #1 favorite + most used product, it'd have to be either CoA or Talk of the Town. I want to hear what everyone's still wearing or wearing the most! I know I'm going to go all-year-through with everything.
