I am loving my pink split and hot contrast but there is not much red in hot contrast. Does anyone else think the red is the same as from mi'lady, I could probably use that with hot contrast and get pretty much what I am looking for, right?

Hope everyone is having fun with all the colors!!

I am loving Odd Couple! I was able to do a really neutral eye yesterday (go figure) even using the purple. It is such a buildable color. I used bare canvas paint as a base, a light hand with the purple in my crease and outer v, the melange side on my lid and dazzlelight as highlight above crease to brow. Of course, I blended with my 227 because I was in a hurry.

I really think if you own Odd Couple, then you HAVE to own Gentle and Mellow Mood. It is almost as if those colors were made to be used together. I really think the rose and plum undertones work fabulously together in those 3 products. JMO.

I don't have Mi'lady, but because the red in Hot Contrast is mixed with black, grey and pink, the final colour can actually vary in a big way! I swatched a few of these at different counters, and the ones that are half red and half black/silver come out a blackish red, ones with a lot of pink come out a light red or taupe-y pink depending on the the veining, some of them even come out a taupe-y silver colour! You get the point! I made the SA pull out a bunch of them and picked the one I wanted because I didn't want too muc black in it. But i think Mi'Lady was more of a true red compared to this. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

The amount of fall out on Odd Couple is crazy and my eyes have been itching all morning. womp womp

The marbled side does this for me too. The purple is amazing and just sticks even without base all day long.
An MA told me that with the mineralized shadows the top layer is more glittery and the layers further down are less glittery.
Can someone confirm this?

Its really great paired up with any of the new MB colors & a subtle Tendertone lip color or Sonic Vibe l/g

I really which I could get away with the red in Hot Contrast. You make it sound so yummy

Honestly, I really didn't think I would use the red side. But, when I picked up just a little bit of it with the grey veining & only put it from inner corner to right above the center of the eye it looked surprisingly pretty.

These shadows are so incredibly beautiful & the consistency is great.
I thought it was odd that the Love Connection that I saw on display at Nordies today did not have the pretty violet tone on the melange side that the one I got from the site had.

Yes, they seem to be very different.
I got Fresh Green Mix and Odd Couple to get over Hot Contrast

It is definitely the hottest one when just looking at it.

I didn't think I was going to end up with this many...I just thought they were going to be too over the top sparkly for me...uh, but they ended being so soft & pretty...sigh

Pink Split is so girly pretty. In fact, the pink side looks extremely close to Shiseidos new hydro powder es - Tulle Pink

I love Hot Contrast! But it doesn't like to be photographed. It looked much nicer in person! I used the flash and that made the black a little more on the grey side.

OMGoddess! Can I just say, HOT CONTRAST!!!!
I *know* MAC made this duo with me in mind. lol
I wish I could buy 2 or 3 backups, as I have a feeling this is Love Forever,
but I also bought my 1st ever MAC Blues, Sea & Sky, & I adore it, too....Now, I am b-r-o-k-e
ssad.gif
I wish I could afford all of these (except maybe the greenies, as I can never get greens to work on me.)

I find these MES to be of higher quality than the Flashtronic ones. I also have Earthly Riches & M'Lady from Antiquitease, and I love them, as well. These are
amazing products.
We can use them in so many ways!
The other Night, I had one eye Sea & Sky, & the other, Hot Contrast (to try them out.) I've never really used Blues, but my hubby immediately said it looked pretty on me, ( & he is my always honest makeup critic.)
I wish he'd let me try Sea & Sky on him,
as he has these beautiful grey-family eyes,
& I think he'd look stunning....
but alas, I think his m/u Days ceased in the 80's, before we met.
winks.gif

I wish I had more $ for m/u....
& much of the world's population is starving. Sigh...
