You know these MES vary sooooo much from pot to pot it's crazy. I picked up a Family Silver this morning at my CCO and it's so nice. I love it. I returned the original one I ordered online way back when because I could get absolutely *nothing* but glitter out of it.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before - I am at a really slow internet connection and it would take me hours to go through all the posts. But has anyone tried Play on Plums? I can't decide if I want it or not!

Yes, I absolutely love Play On Plums! It is a gorgeous deep coppery burgundy the other side is a pretty darker peach & pink veining. I love it alone or over Rich Metal Highlighter in Deep Deposit.

I haven't had any problems applying mine. I use my fingers - it gives a nice application

I'll have to try finger application. It always annoys me when I am looking at e/s and the color looks better on my finger than the swatch on my hand!

I can understand how finger would make it great for application. But I worry about the oils getting on the mineral stuff and eventually making it harder so that you have to scrape a bit off.

thats my two cents, why i use brushes. but I use a packing motion and do my eyes first before foundation, just in case theres some fallout. but i've had little/no problem.

Yep. I have to apply these first before putting anything else on my face. I can get most of the fall out off with a brush, but I still get little bits that stick on my cheeks like glue. That's when i have to get the tape out.

So true!

I have a tan quite like no other lol. When I swatched it today I got different results than most people (considering I am a bit dark and have yellow skin and a lot of people don't have the same skin tone).

The mono side of Fresh Green Mix looked yellow on me instead of lime and the mélange looked like a rich medium green.

And only downside to the swatch is after 5 mins of walking around it blew away like dust! So no pics. XP

I turned to my boyfriend and I was like "o.o that for $21?!" and he was like
nonono.gif
so I decided to wait till the holidays for a pallete (for "playing around with" purposes").

I will thank myself and him later when they have better stuff =)

No one talks much about that one but I really like it!

I assume that you haven't used MES before. There is nothing inherently wrong with these MES, but they do require a base. If you use a base, they will last all day. And applied wet, they're incredible.

Honestly, I have fallout from pretty much any eyeshadow I use, whether it is MES or not. I think it depends on how much you are piling on your brush. If you are like me, you load that baby up. I'm always cleaning up my face with scotch tape after applying my shadows.

SMMY-totally agree, these work so good with a base. They stay on for freakin ever!!!

the shadows on the displayer are a mess. everyone ignores the qtips in front and use their fingers instead. now all the colors have a slick shiny layer on top. not cool!

I know what you mean! Everyone keeps gushing about Fresh Green Mix, but I can't make myself buy it because I have a tan, it shows up yellow on me too!

I don't get fall-out with these. I use it lightly as I like a natural look and I add a little Fix... so that's probably why.

a quick trick for decrusting these babies is gently use a clean dry tooth brush to abraid the crusty top layer and get to the soft powdery stuff underneath. Usually just a few gentle swipes will get rid of the crustys. I have to do this with my bourjois blushes and eye shadows all the time, as they're baked too.

yep, we just use a mascara wand at the counter. a little scrape scrape, and its fixed. that is until the next day, when that shiney little film is back.

I love my fresh green mix and yes the mono side does look yellow/gold on me (I'm Asian NC 25 - 35ish, I'm confused) when used dry but when used wet it's definitely greener and very pretty in my opinion against my typical brown eyes.

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I'm Asian too.. so maybe that's why. I still won't get it though, I don't want to go through the trouble of using water and stuff with my eyeshadows.

And I don't have typical brown eyes.. haha they can be very yellowish when paired with teals and purples, so I should probably avoid Fresh Green Mix anyways.

Yep, I've never had any kind of oily or crusty surface on any of my shadows. I do wash my hand with antibacterial soap before touching them & I don't have oily skin.
