i finally swatched odd couple and omg that purple is SO hott!! i tried to find a similar color in the perm collection of shadows one came kind of close but the shade and vibrancy was sooooo gorgeous of the mono side of odd couple that the perm shadow paled in comparison. i need to save up and get it!!!

I am so excited over the mono purple from Odd Couple. It seems to be a very nice and vibrant purple from the swatches. If it is beautiful enough IRL, I am going to get 6 of this.

Markville Mall in Markham. I always get attitude there.

Sigh, if only MAC would make a shadow with the vibrant color of Violet Trance that was better quality than VT. I have the Pandamonium quad, which I pretty much bought for that color and it is so hard to work with. If I could get the color to show up on my eyes the way it does in the pan, I'd be ecstatic.

Do you hear me MAC? That's all I want for Christmas, really. An easy blending, well-pigmented vibrant deep violet eye shadow.

and I've been mostly good.

That would be amazing! How about a paint pot to match it. Something like the Mcqueen Paint Pots but a bright violet and a dark smokey purple. Nice Vice didn't cut it!

I went back for a second Hot Contrast in order to find one with more pink. I did not pick it out the first time around and got one with more grey veining. It's gorgeous, but I want more pink. The MA said he did not know they were really that different, but was very sweet and took out about 20 for me to dig through!

I just ordered vanity's child lipstick - it looks like the perfect nude lip colour for me!! I've been looking for a colour like this for years!

If you mix the purple from Milady and the blue from the blue duo (forgot the name of it) in this collection, you get the most AMAZING violet shadow. If you used Violet pigment with a dash of entremauve or grape in it instead of the Milady violet side, it would be even more intense.

And, if you use it over Hot Contrast (black side) the effect is MAGICAL.

I'm lazy and I just want to buy the darn shadow and use it. I’m a chemist, not an artist.

SMMY doesn't do mixing, unless it’s in the lab or a cocktail at home.

OMG! I've started talking about myself in the third person, a sure sign of the apocalypse.

Krasevayadancer – I agree completely, we need a violet colored paint pot. And also a smoking deep purple to complement it. Could you imagine if MAC came out with a collection of paint pots like C-Shock? .

BTW, I like Non-conformist FL as a base - FL behave MUCH better than paint pots on me. PP disappear if they get wet at all- even just a bit wet. FL lasts much better.

500+ miles a week for a commute and a minimum of 40 hr work weeks = me lazy.

ETA: Funny, I've never had an problem with paint pots lasting at all, but my eyelids are not oily and everything I throw on them seems to stick...mostly.

Does anyone know how the purple from Odd Couple compares to UD Ransom? I effing LOVE Ransom and based on swatches they look really similar. So if anyone loves the Odd Couple purple and wants more of it in a really soft, creamy, blendable formula, I'd like to throw UD's Ransom out there as a suggestion

I know what that is like. That is very close to what DH does for his job- plus he works heavy physical labor.

My hat is off to you!

I loved the paint pots that I bought last year but when the wind blew and my eyes might water a bit or if it rained, FORGET IT.

I was really upset as I used it for special occasion makeup and could not reapply that night too!

So, I only use them once in a great while if I don't care if they come off or not.

sorry!!

they were already getting ready to close up so i just rushed to get swatches after picking up my color forms stuff and i totally forgot to look at the name of it. Honestly though if you want a pretty purple get odd couple. They were close but not that close...the purple in odd couple was a shade lighter and MUCH brighter.
