I meant to say 2011.. not 2012, although 2012 is already in preliminary/paper stage. I think 2010 is pretty much set.. and as far as what's coming, it is out

YAY! some great shades are coming (purples, oranges, greens and blues) , and just as importantly, lots of great texture -- shines (you see them in some of the eye liners from FF) and lacquered lips (like ultra shines).. nothing is set in stone so all this may change, but these seem to be the trends.

I had to restrain myself from getting all the eyeliners, they're amazing!

I'm also wearing the LL quad today and just finished my m/u but be darned if I can get the liner the way the ma did. I even tried yesterday to no avail. She did the waterline with blacktrack but then did something else....either had some lightly under the lower lashes....very thin line or something. The top she did so nicely too and I can't get it to look right. Arrgghhh. It's so frustrating.

I also agree on Notoriety and I'm pretty pale. It's nicely pigmented and pretty much one app of it and it shows up great. I used Indianwood p/p as a base for SP on the lid and may try a nude p/p next time. It still looks pretty though.

Bring on the dark lips! So what if I have 7512 of them?! MORE!

I already love Kittenish and Cunning from FF and will, of course, grab Dark Deed when it comes out. Assuming I don't go broke from all these great collections in 2010, I'm looking forward to seeing what 2011 brings. (And I'm hoping that lacquered lips means more DtW style glosses and that more mattes= more mattenes.)

that's me! love this trend. i read a magazine yesterday and they highlighted a MAC lipstick called Black Currant. It was in the same vein as the dark lips we are seeing now, but I never heard of it... I hope it one of the ones that will be showing up soon.

So I went back to play with style predator a bit. Although pretty, It does not come up on my lids as the beautiful light pumpkin that i have seen swatched on the lighter NCs and NWs. Instead, it runs a bit golden yellow. Straw Harvest and Off the Page run like that on me as well. So having been faced with this delimma before, I went back and put Red Brick over Style Prediator and re-blended, then I added a little more SP on top, and blended again. It worked! I got that light shimmery pumpkin shade I have been seeing swatched, with a little golden yellow highlight. Rule and MUFE #48 my other HG oranges should work in the same mix as well. I will try those next time. So WOC, if Style Predator is not quite hitting it, give this a try

I feel like I need to go to a meeting, like an AA meeting. Instead it would be a MA meeting (makeups anonymous).
I've been avoiding this thread like the plague.
I've bought enough makeup to stock a store the last couple of years, and I was proud of all this restraint I've been having by not looking at this thread, or ordering anything for the last 27 days (ok, 27 days. may not seem long, but my goal was to go a whole month without buying MAC).

I slipped.
I was somehow coerced (by my evil side

) into going into Nordstroms today. Granted, I was by myself, and it is about a 20 minute drive. I had no reason to go but for, well, FF.
I couldn't stand it. The last couple of days I wanted to see how this collection was going.

well.
Needless to say, I am now sitting at home, in front of computer, giddy from the rush.
My pretties:
LL quad
BB quad
defiantly feline, mkd for glamour, and the gold liner
Aristo-Cat and Liquid Lurex lippies (B2M for both, to make me feel better for my slip)


Now, the question remains.
Will I order the PP quad and the silver liner, oh and possibly Drive Me Wild?

My husband just bought a new amp that cost about $900. My MAC was a pittance compared to that. His hobby is wayyyy more pricey than mine.

I love to wear Night Violet patted on with a gloss in the middle of lip (like the purple from Hello Kitty, or one of the Style Black glimmerglass).
I like to wear tribalist the same way.
The scary looking shades typically don't scare me. I know I can work them to make them look pretty on me (well, Mimi from Drew Carey probably thought the same of her makeup)

When I was in Nordies today I ignored those two.

I'm having second thoughts.. I should have looked at them.

I say Night Violet and Tribalist are more purple, while Kittenish and Cunning are more red. Cunning is the star of the show for me here. Kittenish shows up a little lighter and does not have the red micro glitter that Cunning has in it. Some say Kittenish is lighter, but basically, these are redder than NV and Tribalist.

as for the upcoming collections, there will be LOTS of matte lippies -- not the old style dried n cracked lips but a soft supple new tech matte very sexxy... (check out NARS, MUFE, Lancome, Shiseido -- they already have similar prods) yea, kind of like mattenes but even more moist.. and lacquered will be a really new technology -- similar to DtW -- lots of new frontiers and a continuation of the LE syndrome

(although there seems to be some consideration being given to pissed off customers

)

Tbh, one of my favorite parts of my days are thinking of color combinations to wear for that day.
I can't believe in college I only had about 6 shadows. I basically wore the same colors every day.

Cunning was the one that appealed to me from just online swatches as well.

I think it's going to jump into the boat with my online order.

I just needed that little nudge!
