So I thought this way it is easier. Wasn't it easy to convince myself? And somehow Palace Pedigreed and LoL came with it.

LoL is not very dark when on, it reminds me of lipstain colour, like a sheer berry stain. I looked at Utterly Game once more, but I decided to leave it, Illamasqua Lover is basicly the same colour plus I have Peaches that is also very close.

I starting to scare myself with my obsession for this collection. I knew I was going to like it, but whoah, I'm really drooling over this one, my heart beating like a leopard every time I think of it. There was some major hauling, and it was worth it!

p.s. Why did I ever doubt Antique Green? It's so beautiful! I used it with Gold Stroke, Showstopper and Treat Me Nice and it turned out very pretty fall look.

It looks like you're seriously in love with this one!! I'm glad

maybe it will just take some getting used to?

With your blonde hair, I'd definitely agree on wearing some blush with Cunning. If you got Pet Me MB, that would work perfectly on you. Band of Roses would be fantastic too, with a light hand.

Honestly, even if you're going for that full-on goth look, wear blush of some type. At least invest in a good contouring colour. Without it, your face tends to look like a large blancmange pudding with Mrs. Potatohead lips stuck on it. Blush doesn't just give colour. It gives shape and definition. Trust me on this one.

On a side note, after three hauls, I walked by a Mac counter today and swatched Utterly Game, just to see what it looked like. It still looked completely different than all the other peach blushes I have... I ended up running away in fear that I might still buy more... FYI, all three quads, at least two eyeliners and five lipsticks were sold out. I guess people really like cats...

If I only use the shadows in the quad, then I look like someone punched me & bruised my eyelids. The highlight color is much too dark for my skintone, and overall the amount of pigment in this quad seems low. I had to really cake it on/layer it thick to look like I actually had shadow on. A lighter dusting of the shadows (usually my preferred look) gave me the broken blood vessels/bruising look - even my husband asked what was wrong with my eyes when I tried it.

I must say, however, that I went to Nordies today to return something else. Of course I stopped by the MAC counter and vented to the MA about the quad. She said that I could return it, but I don't feel right about returning used product. Anyway she gave me a few ideas about how to work with the quad. I am going to try again, using her ideas, hopefully with better results.

I cant wear cool tones....make me look sickly. There are some pinks that look ghastly on me as well as purples.....and they are all cool toned

I think that my main issue was that the focus of my look was the quad. I really didn't use any other shadows, and once I started blending and adding layer upon layer I became a blotchy, bruised looking mess. Like I had been up the whole night before, and my eyes were tired with purply red looking eyelids - not the look that I was going for.

I've been thinking of getting BB quad as well... but NO! I just get a new coat. Must. Stay. Strong!

I will, however, be going back for the liquid eyeliner... still deciding between Defiantly Feline and Desires & Devices... which one do you think looks better with LL quad and my skintone? I like not-so-dark eye makeup with a kick..

I'm wearing the BB quad and the Treat Me Nice liner today and the colours look lovely together
greengrin.gif

I also got the LL quad and the liners in Significant Blue, Smoky Heir and Pure Show and i got the pigments in Old Gold and Bloodline. I wanted Lithe instead of Old Gold, but we didn't get it. It doesn't really matter, because Old Gold looks beautiful!

Ok I know what you mean. That's kinda how cool colors look on me too. I can look like I've got pink eye or been punched. I wouldnt feel bad about taking something back used because they're going to throw it out. THey do that with all the returns so I'm told. You could try to sell it though or swap it.

I got a FF makeover today. Sadly I feel like I got the wrong quad last week. I should have gotten BB, which the mua used on me today, instead of LL. And I feel bad spending on another quad. And now I also feel a little bad for only getting the purple liner (and a 208) today. If anyone wants to see the look, I tweeted a picture (link in my sig). I'd post it directly but I'm on my iPhone atm.

i am done with the collection overall. i just want to get a few more cunning lipsticks. its texture makes it the best berry MAC has put out ever. i plan to have a total of 4, cause who knows if they are going to do this again anytime soon. i love that lipstick. it's perfect.

Here's the look:
img0067tt.jpg

It's BB quad on the eyes, with the purple liner. Kittenish on the lips, and I actually forgot to ask what liner she used.

The more I look myself in the mirror the more I fall in love with the colors. While this might not be a look I would wear every day, I think I will go back tomorrow and get the rest of the products, to wear individually.

And then I am going on a Mac (free) break.

My pigment samples arrived today! I totally fell in love with Bloodline and Lithe! They are seriously gorgeous!
From all the swatches I thought Mauvement would be a bit cooler and more taupe-ish, but on my hand it's like a rose gold with silver sparkles. I like it nevertheless. I also got Antique Green, Your Ladyship (not impressed) and Chartreuse.
I'm so happy! (And tomorrow I'll get my n/p order with the Orly VV dupes.

I know what you mean with the bruised look. I almost experienced the same this morning after using quite spoiled on lid and crease. Fortunately adding palace pedigreed and russian blue to the crease and outer v made the bruised look to go away. I think that the highlight color has some hidden darkness in it, but then again most colors people use as highlighters won't work on my skintone. I still love the quad and the look I created today. I don't find this quad to be low in amount of pigment. Most of my satin e/s have poorer color pay off that the ones in this quad.

I lurk this forum a lot, and end up buying way too much product. At age 46, I highly doubt I need yet another quad, let alone two. In fact, I probably have near dupes for most any eyeshadow MAC can produce.

However: I love this collection!

I got Leopard Luxe and Burmese Beauty. The green and the grey eyeliners, and Drive Me Wild l/s. I think I have bought every coral toned lipstick from MAC, this year, in fact. I attribute this dementia to the Swatch forum.

I enjoy reading all the interesting ways people are using their products, and the enabling posts that drive me to greater depths of makeup depravity.

This is my favorite collection, this year.

So... I got Defiantly Feline liner
greengrin.gif
. The way I put it on my eyes, it still looked weird, but I hope it'll get better after practicing!

FYI, I'm loving my purchases so far: LL Quad and Lithe pigment (apart from the liner)
