Hey have you checked out Smoked Purple? It's a matte Pro colour. I love it in fall, it's very dark and deep smokey (if you can say smokey when talking about lips

) purple colour, very pretty!

It's on my list to check out, actually. Maybe I will get it in place of Cunning if I don't like Cunning. I have a list of perm items I always mean to get but never do. Smoked Purple is one of them. But, thanks. I haven't heard much about it before so this shoots it to the top of my list.

I've got Hipster from last year, which is listed as "Burgundy Frost". For this year, I'm trying to only get 1 dark lipstick, this time cooler than Hipster, which has a brownish cast on me.


So it's a toss up between:
Cunning - Dark berry frost
Kittenish - Deep red berry cremesheen
Dark Deed - Burgundy plum amplified (from VV)

The finish doesn't matter much to me, but darn it it's hard to tell what's up with these colors from our swatches. Dark Deed's color description sounds like it'd be closest to Hipster, but out of all the swatches, it looks the bluest. Meanwhile Cunning and Kittenish both look warm and even reddish, while their finishes could really impact how they look on the lips. I keep thinking I'd try to hold off on the FF lipsticks until VV comes out then decide.

(For all we know, that lipstick collection with the industrial designer coming in the winter will have a color that's better than any of these - so confusing!)

I'm very confused by this collection too. The colors are very subtle and seem to rely on texture even more than shade for their uniqueness, which makes swatch photos very difficult to judge from. Plus there are so many products!

Combine this with VV, where there are also a ton of subtly similar colors, and it's making my head hurt.

The sad part is, especially with FF, they're going to be beautiful in person. I'm really bad with photographing myself, but I feel like I'll owe it to specktra to take full face shots of whatever I buy from FF, just to give back for all this confusion.

I think the quads are a bore. I'm disappointed in this collection. I really only want a couple of things and maybe even less when I can see it for myself.

EDIT: I may just get Bloodline p/m. After looking at swatches of Kittenish and Cunning, they seem too warm for me.... Easy and quick haul!

you could try Hang Up instead of Kittenish - it's another deep berry cremesheen, but its perm and maybe not as warm-toned.

to me, Cunning doesn't look too warm. i've only seen Zoffe's swatch of it and the promo pic, but it looks like it'd be fine on cool complexions. and if it's not, then i'll MAKE it work on my cool complexion!

Me too. They are just not striking me as anything special so I will skip them but I do have four things I'll be getting from the collection that I can't remember the names of right now. I just know two are the liquid liners!

Anyway, if we don't spend money on this then we'll have all that much more for VV!

Yes- I do like Hang Up and I will buy eventually, but LE stuff always comes first, ya know?

IDK why, but Cunning just looks warm to me. Plus, it is a frost. Again, I'll swatch it, but I likely won't get it. I'm holding out to see what Deepest Wish looks like from TT. That has to be dark, right?

so I have decided to still get all three quads but just two SH brushes.

And I will limited myself to one lipglass. *the lipglass addict's heart is beating faster*

But I have made myself a budget for September and I won't go over it.
