I am looking at the PRO site again right now, and it has FINALLY given me my discount on everything. I'm glad I waited. I'll put my order in now. I assumed it was some sort of a computer glich on MAC's part. Too bad no one in C/S seemed to know about it. Annoying. Glad it all worked out in the end though!

i got the soft meow, LL quad, fancy cat, schemer, and spree in the mail today and yesterday (bloomingdales split my order up in 4 shipments...grrr) and i'm dying to swatch but mother earth finally sent the backordered summer season out, and it's hot as hell in san diego, so i'm just not ready to test everything :-(

BUT, i see the product launch is up and just wanted to say that i hope everyone gets what they want!!!!!

I mainly love the dark blue & dark burgundy...still deciding too. I'm not sure how close that blue is to anything I already have.

Anything else?

Those are the two colors that I am liking the looks of too.... Nope, nothing else is tempting me, so I guess a $36 haul wouldn't hurt

I tell you, Bloomingdales treats you like a redheaded stepchild when you choose standard shipping. Actually, I can't blame Bloomingdales, it's UPS. My order has been shipped and I was supposed to get it yesterday, but it's not a priority, I guess. This is why I usually pay extra for faster delivery.

Anywho, I was playing with Bloodline again and she's complicated. In the jar it looks like ShadowyLady in pigment form, but when swatched it's a crazy combo of gunmetal, taupe, and I can see some plummy/reddish sparkle in it. That's what makes it difficult to capture in pictures, the sparkle. When I looked through my camera I thought, this looks like Knight Divine, but when I looked back at my hand, it didn't.

Despite being difficult, I took another picture. The first swatch is Bloodline dry and the second is with mufe mist and fix. My Mac fix+ seems to have grown legs and walked out of my room.

No Shontay! You're making me want Bloodline!!!! In this pic, it looks like UD AC/DC. I wonder how it would look on pale skin, though.

Have to swatch at the counter, but I definitely love how this looks right now.

Sorry!

I do love it, but I think you should swatch it for yourself and see how it looks.

The Fancy Face: MAC Fabulous Felines Collections - Haul and Thoughts...

In her review, she rags on the liquid liners for being so expensive for the amount you get, but that's neither here nor there for me since I never finish anything. I have so many liners (gels and pencils) and the reason I picked up one of these is because the look of a liquid liner, you just can't duplicate with a pencil or even a gel, to some extent. I just wish there were more colors so that I could pick up another one without feeling like I'm buying a backup of something else.

I agree with the lip products being unremarkable. A total snore. However, I don't agree that if you have Naked you can skip Lithe. I have Naked and I swatched Lithe (making it's way to me now) and they are different. Lithe is warmer and has shimmer. Naked leans more white (at least for me) and cool and has no shimmer.

It was a good review, though and it just confirms my feeling that this collection is a mixed bag. There are a couple of really good items, but compared to the size of this collection, it's kinda sad. The biggest letdown were the quads. I really wanted another one, but just couldn't justify $36 for just one or two shades.

I was thinking the same thing. I think I've finished some chapstick. If I used foundation regularly, I would have used that up, too. But seriously-nothing. Kind of a shame since it does have an exp date.

I will cry the day I reach for a lipgloss and it smells funky. I never think of lip products as having an expiration date.

You mentioning foundation makes me realize I lied: I finished one bottle of Mufe HD foundation, but that's all.

ITA. I have had lipglosses get funky and thick after like 5 years, but if I had it that long and it didn't get used up, its time to B2M it anyway. If these eyeliners stay on as well as the current liquidlasts, they are well worth the money to me anyway

I'm the same with lip products. Since I have a good assortment, I never have any one of them open for too long, which means not as much bacteria, so on and so forth. But, every few months, I go through and B2M the ones I don't like or haven't been using. I've only had one lipglass turn on me, and it was pink lemonade. I haven't gotten a replacement.

This is true, its looks nothing like this on me, or in my photos which were taken in natural light. bloodline was gunmetal, and not the deep plummy brown with sparkes like i expected, i'm passing. another note, when i swatched it, the shimmer just blended together and ended up looking like a veluxe pearl. maybe i will try to swatch it on my lids next. hand and arm swatches are sometimes different than when the color is on your eyelid.

lithe looks like naked dark to me, which is warmer and has more shimmer than naked. they even look the same in the jar.

if you are a heavy eyeliner user, its not enough product for the price. in my opinion. they are pretty, but i want to spend my money on something else right now.

Ok, I have thought some more about this collection and I think I will skip it. It never wowed me from the start and am still not feeling it
th_dunno.gif
.

I'm gonna try Aristo-cat l/s on when I go check out the new nail polishes and I might get it. But i wouldn't be shocked if I got nothing. Also, despite me liking Bloodline p/m, I already have Mothbrown e/s from Barbie release and I don't really get the hype. I have taupe shades that i love and use way more. So there's no sense getting a full jar of pigment that looks just like it.

None of the colors other than the one I got, Desires and Devices, are unique to colors I already have. So, now all I want for sure is Aristo-Cat.

I considered the short handle 227, but it may be pointless. Saturday I'm going in to a Mac store to get Aristo-Cat and Plumage (it's been on my list forever).

PP quad would be the only one I WOULD get if I hadn't just bought Dior's Misty Mauve quint, lol! I love purples and mauves and they are perfection on my skintone and eyes (me thinks, lol

How do you not already have Plumage
shockt.gif
? That's one of my MAC staples. Go get it now

I wanted it way back but someone turned me against it saying it was chalky, blah blah and then my curiosity got drowned out by all the collections that came out. I promise to get it, though
winks.gif
.

Looking at the Mac site just now, I remember that I wanted Pure Snow liquid liner, but it was sold out at pro. So, I need to get that. I also remember swatching Gold Stroke pigment and then going over to swatch Antiqued and they looked the same on me
th_dunno.gif
.

I'm wondering if I should get Treat Me Nice? I don't have a green that's quite that vibrant, but I have to think of how much I will really need it. This is what happens when I'm bored. I consider things I've already written off. I hate that.

I use liquid liner every day I go to work cause I usually never have time for eyeshadow. So, I get a lot of usuage out of my UD liquid liners and my liquidlasts. 1.8ml seems like a very small amount compared with the 7.5 you get with Urban Decay, or the liquidlasts even with their 2.5ml, even though it's more expensive by a dollar in the US compared with the LLs.

Part of me is saying be sensible and forget about them, another part is saying, look at the pretty colours!

I didn't even think about the amount.... I was just like "MUST. BUY." But, I rarely use liquid liner anyway, so it will be a special occasion kind of thing.
