I was really lucky like you and my ma also let me dig though their stock on hand and I got to look though about 40 of each color and had a blast picking out the one that I wanted to take home with me, the veining in a few were wonderful and they all looked so different from one another

I would say if you have a chance look though them your self and pick out the one that you <3 not the one they pick because each one of them are sooo different

agreed. i picked up two ethers &they look COMPLETELY different. one is for a friend, but they almost could be 2 different e/s when you are looking at them side by side.

You're certainly lucky to have been able to dig through their stock!! There was a time I know the MA's would have let me do this, but the new girls at the new counter nearby are not at all as friendly as the ones I knew in the past.
As it is, I ordered online and will let it be the luck of the draw (Tectonic and Quarry). It's easier than dealing with attitude.

Re: Flashtronic

I just thought I would share this great tip that the MA at my fav. counter gave me with Northen Light. You can buff it under the eye area with a large shadow brush to get a great under eye highlighting effect. But you have to buff, not dust. I am sure you could probably do it with Gold Spill too, but I didn't get Gold Spill as it wasn't as flattering with my skin tone. Anyway, I love the result of doing this, esp. if you apply concealor first, the MSF, then your powder, you'll insure that your eye's aren't too shimmery. If it end up doing this reguarly, I might have to pick up a second Northen Light...

What does that saying mean??

I know. It doesn't make sense. I have seen this in a few posts.

Re: Flashtronic

The MSFs were pretty, but I have Shooting Star and Stereo Rose, and have sold every other MSF I've ever owned (including Pleasureflush). I don't use them ENOUGH to justify buying any more. I was SO relieved that the eyeshadows were too chunky/gritty/glittery for my taste. I just can't handle that much shimmer and none of the colors were particularly flattering on my skin anyway. More $$ for those lipglass pencils and matte shadows!!!

Re: Flashtronic

I just bought two things from Flashtronic: Lovestone e/s and Electro-Lush l/g. I think Lovestone makes a great blush; I buff some MSF Natural over the top to bring the glitter down a notch. And I LOVE Electro-Lush l/g; it's a creamy medium-dark pink and that punched-up creamy texgture is a nice counterpoint to all the sparkle in the shadows and MSFs.

While everything looks gorgeous in the pot, these were the only two products I knew I'd use. That and Indianwood Paint Pot were my haul for the day, though I'm planning to go back to Nordstrom for Stray Gray.

Re: Flashtronic

I played around with the MES's the last time I was at a counter, and the shadows actually have a color payoff if patted over a Shadestick. I used Fresh Cement, but you could experiment with all of the lighter ones (Shimmersand, Beig-ing) and the brown ones (Taupogrpahic, Gentil Lentil) to see what different effects you can create. Only Ether and Mercurial created something that looked unique to me, and Ether had a cool, tie-dye change-color effect going on.

I got the very last stray gray at my Nordstroms. I think that's half the reason I bought it...lol

Re: Flashtronic

Cranberry vs. Lovestone - I just attempted a comparison swatch (which I'll hopefully be able to post tomorrow) and oddly enough my Lovestone swatched closer to Apricot Pink than it did to Cranberry. Sure is similar in the pan. Could have just been how my swipe worked out, but strange, isn't it?

I think it was a site glitch. I remember seeeing this too, and just as I was about to quote it, I re-read the whole post in the text box and saw it was disguising the word m-u-d. Not sure why though, but now if you check the original posts, they're all fixed and now mud is no longer posted as forumanother forumanother forumdy.

That aside, I was soo tempted on getting Mercurial, but I had to pass it up after I saw the glittery aftermath on my skin.

Re: Flashtronic

I got ether and lovestone! they're sooo pretty!! The MA let me dig through their cabinet until I found the one i liked.. same with lovestone. she was REALLLYYYY nice..

I wasn't too excited about Ether until I went to the store and it was really unique.. so I got it~

Re: Flashtronic

I got Jupiter today and it's color-wise exactly what I wished for since my two favourite shadows are Twillery and Relaxing but both sadly LE so I was hoping this was a close enough dupe and it is, but holy hell there's a lot of glitter, the older MES weren't nearly as glittery [like Tres Teal and others from the Rococo collection], so I'm kinda bummed.

Re: Flashtronic

Just wondering, which color in Gold Spill MSF had the most glitter? Is it better to get one with more cream or more of the darker veining (brown, gold/peach)?

Re: Flashtronic

I ended up getting Lovestone, Mercurial and Northern Liight and LOVE all 3. I desperately want Gold SPill as well, but I dont want one with any brown veining and being in AU I have to resort to ebay or CP and there is no guarantee in what I get. I will wait til AU release I think and get one here that I can choose for myself. I LOVE the Northern Light MSF and I may go back for another yet. The Lovestone is so pretty and easily my favourite, though I was a little disappointed with Mercurial - a little too sheer but over a lilac pigment may work better!

Snap! That's exactly what I chose as well. Glad to hear you're loving them!

I'm sure I would have bought more if I'd been able to see things at a store instead of buying online, but I was being cautious after a big car bill already this month.
