for the most part i have been happy with my brush sets. i have been buying them since 2007 and have only had one actually break on me.
That's good to hear. I've been eyeing the holiday brush sets before but was afraid to commit because of the not so good reviews. I might pick up my first brush set from this collection. I'm too in love with glitter and transparent things to pass up on these. Exciting!

IMO, the biggest difference in quality in holiday sets are usually the larger brushes and/or the natural hair ones. The 187 or 129 never come even close to their fullsize counterparts. However, I found that foundation and concealer brushes are usually nearly the same quality (190, 194). The eye brushes can be a bit scratchy and/or oddly shaped (e.g. the 219 might not be as pointy as the fullsize version).

However, for traveling purposes, these brushes will do their job. I recommend that you test them out at home before traveling, so you get used to them.

this is quite true actually. i have a normal 129 and a 129 se brush and it is a bit scratchy and also it bleeds when i was it even though it has been washed many times over the past 4 years!!

Here's hoping Industrial is brought back - I've been rationing mine like the dickens. That light blue/violet/grey iridescence would be perfect for this collection.

I `m over any type of eyepencils after I bought a large set from UDecay. Now I`m really into fluidlines, they are my best friend for lining, because my eyelid is not as it used to be

I hope the Pealglides come back, I have Undercurrent and Black Line and they are beautiful, some of my favourite liner pencils. They should bring back Industrial, it looks gorgeous and they should also release a lovely white with pink glitter and a purple which looks like Stars 'n' Rockets eyeshadow.

i need to use my fluidlines more often. i tend to use pencils because they are actually in front of me on my vanity whereas my fluidlines are in a cabinet.

I want to love Undercurrent the most, but the color competes with my eyes a little too much. Industrial and Plum Noir get the biggest workouts of my p/gs, plus Black Swan is always seriously useful. Lord It Up is also very underrated.

I'd like to see some BRIGHT pearlglides - a brilliant blue/violet especially! 'Not gonna see anything like that in this collection, though.....

I would love to see Undercurrent p/g again! That one is my favorite Pearlglide Intense Liner ever! I used it a lot when I was on a coral and teal kick.

if this collection is all that and more, i'll forgive MAC for some of the crappy collections and product launch mishaps that have happened this year.

i love me some Johnny Weir so they can't mess this up!
