Aren't these renewed Holiday mini sets? 3 sets of pigs, 3 sets of l/gs, 1 set of nail polish? On the other hand, the packages are so different from previous Holiday sets, but then again why Mac would bring out Holiday mini sets and these almost at the same time?

yeah these will be the holiday mini sets. glitter and ice will be the main colour story and then there will be the add ons to that like these mini sets, palettes as well as viva glam stuff - like each year :)

hi, i'm from Taiwan and i just saw this brush set in our holiday collection,
Will this be one of the Glitter and Ice collection?
I think you will find the two bigger brushes are the perm face ones (is it 187 & 188) then the other two are the duos from the semi precious!! Look exactly the same I have all 4 so that's an easy skip for me yay!!!!

I absolutely love the bubble packaging of the mini sets! Also the e/s palette design and the brush set. I did not expect to like this collection much, I expected the packaging to be a lot more dramatic and tacky tbh. I'm not really happy about that though, because that means I will be spending a lot more. I thought I'd never ever buy a brush set, but this one looks really promising.
And that nail polish set is coming home with me for sure

Unless there are some nice new pigments in there, I think I might be giving this collection a miss. I had high hopes for this, but what I've seen so far does nothing for me.

I think the packaging is totally tacky, but it's probably so tacky, that it's brilliant again. :)

Let's face it, it's a holiday set and people buy it for the packaging or theme in order to have "something nice" on the table. Now if I still want a Christmas-decoration look-alike on my vanity in March, I don't know, but for a few months (or weeks), it will certainly be cute.

Lol, exactly. After all it's MAC, and not Chanel or Guerlain, so you know what you can expect. I think MAC packaging just should be fun.
And if you're looking for something a bit more elegant and classy there is always the couture collection.

And speaking of tacky, the clear plastic reminds me of the cheap transparent heels that you can see in certain - errrm movies. LOL. Love it. Tackiness par excellence. I always wanted to have a p0ornstar high heel as a brush.

I can't wait to see the official colour story. If the pigments are crushed metal, I will pass. I have hardly touched the ones I own from spring 2010 (can't remember the collection). The 130 brush looks nothing like my 130. It appears to be shaped differently, and more dense. It almost looks like that Sigma brush that everyone uses for foundation (f 80?)

The duo fibre eye brushes have really piqued my interest though. If they're decent, I'd like to see them in full size.

I like the bubble packaging
