MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

So excited for the color story! I'm loving the look of that uber-glittery red gloss... *o*
I'm also loving the seafoam green MES... I really hope we get pearlglides! :D
Must save up for this! Especially since I won't be hauling much (will only be buying Ash Violet) from Fall Color collection, or whatevs the name is...

I hate those. I usually skip the pigment sets in the holiday collex because usually I only want one or two colors out of the whole set. Not real cost-effective for me. Though with Tartan Tale I bought two full-size pigments and the Violet pigment bundled w/ Macroviolet fluidline, a mascara and that useless SE liner brush. Hopefully this year there will be new full-size pigments or at least more than just one of the small ones I like of out a set.

Maybe MAC changed the dates around? I thought the first part would come at the end of October, followed by the second part at the beginning of November, especially as the couture collection is usually released in the second half of November. I would be surprised if they leave a month between releasing part one and two, but it might work out for our wallets :)

the MAs at my store know the release dates but didn't get shown the collection at their last training - they get to see it first week of October. In fact, I was telling my MA about the picture I saw here of the test product table and he told me not to tell him the details because he wanted to be surprised when he saw it at training.

I DID tell him about that amazing looking black MES, though and told him I expect to hear all the details about that one from him hehe.

Dunno about the second part of the collection, but my store's having the big pre-release event on October 18th. Last year's holiday event was a week before the color collection came out and had both parts of it available for sale. As far as I know, it's going to be the same situation this year, although i don't know about whether both parts will be released officially in stores in the same time frame as last year's.

I also expect to preview during the second week in October, though I never really buy much from the Holiday collections. I don't think it will be much different for me this year.

But I don't believe that MAC would leave four weeks in between releasing part one and two. This would be a bit silly. Even if a collection is extraordinary, you can't stretch it out that long. LOL.

Antiquitease 2007. Color collection was released October 15ish, sets were November 18ish. Or maybe vice versa, but either way it was four whole weeks in between.

Oh yes, that's true. Wow, that seems to be ages ago. This was a great holiday collection! :)

I completely agree! It was the collection that turned me into a hardcore collector... And it's still my all-time favorite. I'm hoping glitter and ice will compete in quality and concept!:eyelove:

Thank you soooo much, kannacci, for posting this, & thank you, Japan! lol! OK, I feel better financially as there's only 2 items I could be interested in: the beige PP & the green e/s on the left, &, thankfully, there products I probably won't need backups of. Some are not just not my colors & for the others, I have too many like colors. I can no longer justify buying unless I absolutely LOVE something because I have way more than I can ever use as it is in this lifetime.

Thank you for following my post.

In Japan, these items will be sold from November. I envy you (everyone) can get them sooner.
I thought I will complete all items, LOL, but I have to choose.
This collection is not good for my NC30 skin color, only my thought.
I'm looking forward to be showing what everyone got this collection, then decides.

BTW, I found Johnny has already applied his own "glitters and ice" green e/s on inner corners of eyes above mentioned?!


I feel sorry, My English is too pooooor :-(

Ahhhhhh I really can't contain myself! I haven't even been able to haul from posh paradise and styledriven because my hours got cut drastically at work leaving me just enough to pay my bills...and these glitter and ice pictures are not helping!
