Great post! What did you think of the quality of the brush sets?
Thanks! I didn't get to touch the brushes (they were behind the bubbles) but from what I could gather the quality looks okay. I know I'd definitely get the duo-fiber brushes as they are part synthetic anyway and I think all of the full size duo fiber brushes I've gotten from MAC have been made in China. The quality looks to be the same as those from the Wonder Woman collection.

I so wish I could make the Orlando event.  I miss shopping at the MAM.  I'd never seen Kanga Rouge until yesterday and can't remember the last time I'd squealed at a Blue-Red like that from MAC.
If my memory serves me corrrectly, Pleasure Principle looks a bit more bright white w/ silver sparkle than Sugarrimed.  Sugarrimmed is one of my fave dazzleglasses so that's probably why I was drawn to PP. PP looks like bright falling snow.

Oh okay!  I wasn't into seriously hauling MAC when that collection came out.
You're very welcome!  I wish I could have taken pictures but I didn't want to get anyone in trouble.

If you can only buy one thing from this collection it should be the Shimmermint MES.  Seriously.  And if you can stretch it I'd pick up Morning Frost paint pot and then the Eloquent Air lipstick.

Did you buy these at MAC? If not, I would say that they are fake. I have never seen any duo-fibres from China. They should come from Japan (or France). The only exception are the split-fibres and the 169 (Rachel Welch/BBR), which were manufactured in China.

Thanks. I think my list is shimmamoss mes, the 2 darker pp and the duo fibre brush set. Good point re synthetic hair. I got a mac brush set years ago and it was a great way to start off while I built up my collection but I have heard in recent years that sometimes the quality of the brush sets isn't great. I really want the duo fibre eye brushes and the sh face brushes would come in handy but I don't want to be lusting after them only to be disappointed if you know what I mean. Did you get to see the brush bag? Is the circle a snow globe?

Oh my gosh! I've really neglected this thread. I just caught up on 5+ pages.

Having said that, I just love the palettes. The colors swatch gorgeously, though some are certainly more pigmented as others - just as I like it.
Smaller than Tartan Tale eyeshadow palettes?

Well my list for the Glitter and Ice part is pretty large:
-I love MES so I really want all of them. I don't know if that is in the cards but definitely Shimmermint and the bronzey one.
-all the paint pots
-the pink glitter nail polish
-Soft Sable lipstick
-a dazzle glass but I'm not sure which one yet.

-maybe the eyeliners. Technakohls aren't my favorite but I like the silver, brown and gold one.

I'm still unclear on when we will see this collection. I read Dec 26th but someone posted an event for October. Maybe they are having parties in October. That is pretty early if the collection comes out in December.

Kanga-Rouge is great, love it. Great color and texture  Would you recommend Shimmermint for light skin as well? Thanks a lot for your writeup and comments :)

EngineerBarbie: Do get She-Zam d/g when it comes out!! It is a gorgeous color! Needless to say that you might want to get backups of that color LOL!!

This collection will be out on October 27th for sure since my MA goes to update on the 18th.

it's so wrong that i am getting more excited for this collection than posh paradise! this is why mac should release things on the same date everywhere in the world! otherwise by the time everybody else has their stuff the new collection info is out and i'm left thinking about the newer collections! lol!

Amen to that! I much prefer to get involved in the excitement than observe it!

Yep, bought these at MAC (I never buy bootleg MAC at all.

) I think what got me mixed up is I have a few of the split-fibre brushes and as you pointed out, they are made in China (I was a little taken aback when I saw that). I checked and my little 'skunk' and 'fan' duo-fibre brushes are both from Japan. Should have checked as I used both of them this morning to apply Lightscapade as a cheek and nose-bridge highlight.

I'm way ahead of you! LOL! Definitely getting backups of that and Pleasure Principle. When did She-Zam originally come out? Thanks for the confirm on the date. I also remember October 26th because my MUA said she'd charge my credit card then.

EngineerBarbie thanks for the review! To be honest, when I saw the description of the silver-ish MES I thought of you. I'll be getting that (I forget the name) and Shimmermint for sure. Mac-Guy thanks for the swatches! That gold is amazing. I'm getting more excited for this collection!
