For Effect paint pot: So pretty! Dark gray with silver sparkle! I love a gray, smoky eye, and I would definitely use this stuff. Probably won't go on as opaque as you want, but it's still lovely and you can probably layer it.

My thoughts exactly!

Such Flare! lipstick: Surprisingly pretty. A true, matte red. I didn't order it cause I'm concerned that it'll look dry on my lips, but I'm starting to think that I should give it a try since I don't own any good matte reds.

Ah thats like saying if you own one matte red lipstick you own them all :-( I own a ton a of berry l/s all unique and special...and I was like salivating at the sight of What Joy (SO gorgeous)...lol to each her own. Some have their taupe-obsessions, I have a berry lipstick obsession, what can I say.

Do I need Pleasure Principle if I have Chanel Aragonite?

I was able to quickly play with the Technakohl liners yesterday... for once I agree with T's thoughts - they weren't that great. The teal/blue one (sorry, can't remember names at the moment) was the best as far as smoothness/ease of application/colour payoff goes, but the gold and silver ones were awful - poor colour payoff and definitely dry - and I found the colours really muted and dull. The black was okay but nothing special. The purple one is a really nice colour, but I had to press really hard (back and forth) to get the colour to show up on my hand, and I don't see anyone working an eyeliner that hard over their eyelid. HTH!

Hmm, it doesn't look like there's much dazzling about the dazzleglasses. I was interested in pleasure principle, because of the teal reflects, but I have Ethereal, and it's so much prettier. I have She Zam from 2009, and it's gorgeous. I haven't used it a whole lot, but I do love it.

Eloquent Air looks much more sheer than metal maven. It reminds me of the texture of lippies like Acid Washed, Summer Shower, Phlox, and the like. It would be good for layering, where Metal Maven is too opaque. I tend to love lipsticks like this, and wear them on their own, when I just don't know what to wear, or I have a lot of focus on the eye. BTW, Summer Shower+Ethereal is amazing. I imagine Eloquent Air+SheZam would be similar, but silver instead of blue. For the heavier Metal Maven, I'll use it in the center of my lips, and then layer a colour like Rebel over top. It adds a nice dimension.

Oh, and about someone asking about T's finger swatching. I read in one of her comments at one time, that she scrapes a bit of the product (she was talking about eyeshadow) out with a spatula, on to her arm. She'll then use a finger to spread it out, so she can see how the texture feels. I would imagine that she does the same with all pressed products.

Slightly off topic, I was looking at some of my older shadows today, from the "before I knew better" era. Wow, so lumpy and bumpy :-(

I am still so

that I could only visit my haul at my MAC store and not take it home. Ah well, got to see its pretty packaging!

Sidenote..there was just a mini earthquake in my area, and...I'm scared! Lol! A virtual hug would be nice right now? >_<
Oh goodness! {{{hugs}}} Quakes suck. Hated them when I lived in LA and flipped out when one hit near here.
