I went back to Macy's today to pick up a backup of Morning Frost PP. I never use PP as bases, rather alone or a primer base. Anyway, I tried the patina over the MF PP as a previous poster had used & really liked this particular PP as a base for browns.
I also got to try Snow Season as a highlighter, but it didnt work out. The color was great as a highlighter for my complexion, but man the glitter all over my face. I don't know how anyone else feels, but I'm really disappointed in Lightscapade. I'm not really getting any color payoff, just slight glitter. I get much better color & sheen payoff from Kevyn Aucoin's Candlelight. I'm still searching for my HG; maybe the BE Soul or Queen Phyllis or Becca's Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector (all on my w/l for next year) will be it. I thought Snow Season might have been it, but too much glitter for a cheek highlighter.
To anyone who has both the original Lightscapade, please tell me how the color payoff & glitter differ from this repromote. I'd like to know as I may have an opportunity to swap for it. TIA!
I also applied Hold That Pose. The slight grey hue isn't a good compliment for my complexion, but in incandescent lighting you don't see the the grey component & it looks real nice. I couldn't justiiy buying as I have so many white & off white shadows & a dozen similar glitter- only pigments where I can use the e/s as a base & put the glitter on top for the same effect. If I were younger & it could sit in my drawer for 2 or 3 decades, yes, I would have bought it.
