MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Agree with what Jeanette said. Only the solid part can be used as a blush, yet I noticed that most of the time the marbled side is slightly bigger than the solid side. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

well i love blushers...so these are like heaven for me .... (I love blushers both matte and shimmery)

anyway I'm not gettin much from style warriors and will probably be gettin 2 msfs from the sugar sweet collection.

So my wallet's safe now. And HK to me was kinda blah...The only thing i really like is the popster TLC...

Moon River gives you such a beautiful shiny glow! It's on my list again haha. It looks different than Dainty since its glowy.

I was looking at swatches of the grand duo blushes, but there doesn't seem to be any anywhere of Light over dark blush. Anyone seen swatches of this one anywhere. It sounds like one I may like.

nope - 100% am not buying moon river. i love the name and the look of it but i can't justify spending on it.... even though every day i look at it on the mac site...

Add me to Team No for Style Warriors too. I hate it with a passion. BLARGH!!! Love all of my blushes from this collection though. I got Hot Planet, Intenso, Earth to Earth and Moon River. My husband went to my local MAC counter and got all but Earth to Earth for me as I already had that one. He also got me a backup of Cute-ster lipstick. I love him so. I swear that all my new makeup has really made my recovery process easier on me. I have a swollen jaw but my makeup looks good.

I hardly use blush (not a blush person), so my Sonic Chic will last me a long time, as will my MSFs. Much as I LOVE the look of Love Rock (the only one I really like), I have Pleasantry, and as Samantha said before, bright pink blushes will always be around, so if I ever run out, I will be able to find another one. I like Grand Duo too, but only one side of it (the "Gentle" side).

So I'm skipping! Though it tears me up inside, as Love Rock is so gorgeous!

But other bright pink blushes will never look as great in the pan!

And even if one side deosn't appeal, they might look great mixed together. Personally, comparing to other MAC products, these blushes aren't really expensive.

I'm also a ho when it comes to all thinks for cheekies and these are great! I'm wearing love rock today and I love it! which is funny because I'm really not a huge fan of pinks or pleasantry blush either. go figure!

I can't wait to try out the rest of them! I bought them all sight unseen as is usually the case here in australia.

The prices of these blushers are a bit on the high side i must admit...but the colors are lovely and they look lovely in the pan especially Loverock and moonriver.

I am also on Team No for Style Warriors. Nothing about that collection appeals to me at all. But I am quick becoming a blush and MSF whore so most of these will be mine.

I went to my local MAC store to pick up some things since there was a -25% discount (yeah, we actually get many of these -25% days here) and to my surprise the Grand Duos were there ~ which is strange since HK hasn't been released yet.

Anyway, I swatched them and I can safely say that they aren't anything special. I only got Moon River and I found that all the rest even though they are pretty, they are easily dupeable and way too similar to the previous mineralized blushes

They are only a $1 more expensive than the permanent sonic chick blushes being sold on the Mac site right now.

If anything is super expensive, it's the hello kitty mystery powder for US$90.
