MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Well, on me Tippy & Love Rock look different. Different skin colors will make a difference for everyone. The finishes are different as well...LR is a softer true pink with slight shimmer & if you use the marbled side, it really gives a soft pretty glow.

Tippy is slightly more bright.

On me look Tippy + Love Rock different, too.
But Tippy looks a bit like Azalea (Pro-Blush). I will compare it tomorrow for you all. And will post the Pictures

Yep...it (Tippy) has more of that fuchsia/violet undertone - subtle, but its there. LR is a true pink.

Azalea is so pretty - thats a great color for you!

Big Love for Love Rock

Ooh, I just put Love Rock on cause I have to run out....it's sooooooo pretty on! There is something about the marbled side of this color that absolutely makes my skin look soft focus & flawless!

oh, & I'm wearing it without any foundation.

I don't know why, but this post of yours really tugged at my heartstring and made me slightly less resistant towards these blushes.

I quickly swatched the solid side of Grand Duo today, and it looked really shimmery to me. I could even see some glitter particles in it.

They do have some shimmer, but its a pretty kinda shimmer - that coming from someone that pretty much only likes matte/very subtle glowy. But I really like these on. Maybe because they seem more enhancing than overpowering on. I do however, only use a very light dusting of the marbled side.

I'd like to know if I'm the only one or what that thinks these do a soft focus affect on the skin?

I tried Grand Duo today, used my 188 and circled it over both sides. I really like this blush. Not sure if it's a soft focus effect, but, it went on so smoothly and evenly. It doesn't even look all that shimmery, except maybe in direct sunlight! Definitely not any more so than last year's MB's, and actually less frosty than the BBR MSF's (minus Brunette). I know this shade was compared to Love Thing, but it's much softer imo. I have to be really careful with Love Thing so it doesn't go on too dark, with this I didn't. I highly recommend Grand Duo for anyone that likes a nice plummy blush, and especially for those with olive skin!

The best thing about these blush duos is: the effect is really pretty on the face. Dont let the swatches on hand fools you, as the colors are very similar to Sonic Chic ones.

I am just recovering from the Hello Kitty hangover I had, and had to recoup from the husband whoreing I had to do, so I am not uptodate on on all the new collections.

I caved... i now own Earth to Earth *hears Elegant laughing many miles away*.

My lottery winnings are gone, three of these blushes and two bubble teas (because I gave up Starbuck's for lent!). It was fun while it lasted!

I looove intenso! Its gives me the I spent the day at the beach and just had sex flush haha. Such a pretty corally pinky red. Not really copper at all like it looked in the store. The only thing about it is that it's so pigmented you have to apply lightly and blend a bit more than the others.
But the others glide on effortlessly and they are good for lazy people like myself. With the sonic chick blushes, I have to use them wet and apply 3 layers on a blush like dainty/plesantry but with these I don't.

I usually hate light blushes but I looove moon river, gives me a gentle peachy glow and the swirly part looks like lightscapade on me.
I didn't like Hot Planet though, the 2 parts swirled together gave me a dirty plum that I didn't really find attractive, and anything that looks orange in makeup scares me. The only thing left that I am lemming is Earth to Earth, but I think Ill skip it.

enabling for real... I just put few swatches in the tread too and I compared tippy with love rock, dainty with moon river, and I think grand duo with possible current/ones on display now sonic chic mineralize blushes... aww decisions decisions

Funny, because we tried so hard to be good but it just doesn't work - sometimes

Mr. Elegant doesn't mind all the makeup - I would be in soooo much trouble if he did

He thinks that women should have all the makeup that they want cause, "its what girls do"
