MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

i just wore moon river for the first time and it left the most gorgeous pink shimmer on my cheeks

I am getting Grand Duo, Intenso, Love Rock

and maaaybe Moon river even though I still think it will be too light for me, but it just looks soo damn pretty.
I am a blush girl.

I can't wait! Ill have no problem skipping Style Warriors, so I am only excited about this collection and Rose Romance so far.

I'm kind of craving Moon River and Love Rock, but I'm kind of trying to tell myself that I have enough blushes. My counter argument is that I don't have any minderalize ones. Oh the shopping angel and devil in my head are having a throw down. (PS I Looooove shimmer so ... these are tempting..

Just found it in a good Japanese blogger:

Grand Duo is the deeper and more intense of the two. As expected of the Mineralize Blushes, the color payoff of the solid color side (without the veining) is excellent and it's easy to over-apply these. I had to wipe some off with a tissue after I got to the office and realised that I had put too much on one cheek ;-p



Grando Duo applies as a plum-toned pink on me, and is not too dark such that it looks unnatural on my MAC NC20 skintone. You can apply it lightly for a pink flush. It has icy pink, candy pink, burgundy and golden bronze veining that look very pretty in the pot but don't add much color, just shimmer.





Love Rock is one of the top two fastest sellers in the MAC Pro store and it's easy to see why. It looks incredibly pretty in the pot, a shimmery bubblegum pink paired with a highlighter side that has light pink, purple and pinkish beige veining.



Love Rock does take more layering to show up on my cheeks, as compared to Grand Duo, and I felt there was more shimmer than actual color. It does give the skin a nice sheen and glow, but have to be careful not to over-do the highlighter part. Of the two, I ended up liking Grand Duo more on my skin but Love Rock is just so pretty to look at in the pot!

^^^ Those are sooo pretty! Crap I might be getting Moon River, Love Rock, and Grand Duo! Luckily for me I don't have any blushes except sample size ones from my line that I sell at work so I think I can justify rotating between the 3 lol..

I don't know if I should get Moon River and Intenso or just one of them.

Since this has already launched in Singapore, I went today to buy some, and by "some" I ended up coming home with 6 of the 7, yikes! I got everything but Light over Dark, as it'll be too dark on my NC25 skin. I think you'll find that in the pot Intenso and Hot Planet look verrrrry similar, but in fact swatch quite differently. I'm at work right now, otherwise I'd be busy swatching and comparing these to my 5 Sonic Chic blushes... I now officially have Mineralize blushes coming out of my ears!

I love using and collecting mineralize blush,mes and msf esp. those with veinings

But I am not as "crazy" now comparing to the past, when I rush down immediately to the MAC counters on the 1st day its launch.

I am waiting eagerly for the July Electroflash Anniversary though
