MAC - Grand Duos Discussion

Finally got to see the Grand Duos IRL today but I am not the bit excited over them. After swatching all the colors, I find them extremely similar to the Sonic Chic blush. I didnt get them today but will purchase the whole set tomorrow when I go to collect my Hello Kitty's stuffs.

I quickly tried all of them on my hands in store and bought Grand Duo and Earth To Earth. (cos hubby was waiting impatiently on the side!) Grand Duo was real pretty and pigmented and I just had to have it, plus I don't have any similar colour. Earth To Earth looked so beautiful in the pan and I was hooked to the purple vein instantly. But now I'm a bit confused with how to use the swirly half...maybe for contouring? maybe I'll try it once or twice on my eyes and only use the solid half...it's too pretty to be mixed up! lol

Erine already mentioned a few posts above that it isn't safe to use these on the eyes.

hey girls....
i bought some days ago moon river.. (i am nw15) its gorgeous!!!
the marble side is a perfect highlighter.....but the marble side from the other ones can use as a blush...very pigmented imo...
i am thinking about love rock...even if i have pleasantry y think these two arent similar at all (prefer love rock)....so i think i will go in the next days to get tippy and love rock...i dont want to spend so much money..i just bought the hk compact (autsch, that hurts my wallet) and i am looking forward for the two msf in sugar sweet....
i dont that much from rose romance and style wariors...
so thats a good argument

At the bottom: Tippy BBP On top of Tippy: Love Rock MB (solid + swirled Side) And on the left: Hot Planet MB (solid + swirled Side) As you can see you can use both sides of Hot Planet as a blush

I can't decide on which one to get: love rock or moon river? I only own 2 MAC blushes atm (dame and gingerly) and I'm getting Tippy as soon as HK arrives to Sweden (next weekend, finally!). Love rock looks sooo pretty and I'm afraid that moon river won't show up on me, but it seems silly that half of my blushes are cool toned pinks 
I'm NW20 in skintone, which one would you guys choose if you were me? I'm getting grand duo aswell

I'm thinking I should skip the quad from a Rose Romance and get Love Rock instead and be done with it.

Wow, these are just so pretty, and there are a couple that I really like after seeing swatches. I must pass on something, though, if I'm going to afford all the other must-haves. These just aren't "must-haves" for me. Maybe I'll pick a couple up at a later date, but these are a definite pass for me come release-time.

I'm wearing light over dark today and so far, so good! I usually use my 168 for blush but I used the 187 with this one because I didn't want to overdo it since I'm so pale. but it worked great! I know a lot of these look so similar to the sonic chic blushes from last year but the addition of the swirly side totally changes how the colour comes out IMO

I used the swirly part of love rock on my eyes today...and i actually liked that color on my eyes...and nope...my eyes didn't react to it.
My mum and friend also used the swirly part of moonriver on their eyes
So i think the swirly part is eye safe at least for me and the people whom i know. But i dunno about others though..

Like it really means anything for it to be non-eyesafe. I mean this is Specktra afterall. People will do what they want no matter what. I wouldn't use it on my eyes but that's just me. Thanks for the warning Erine.

I will use my Bright Fuchsia Pigment on the Eyes as well and it's not Eyesafe
