I agree but I also don't think there will ever be a 10g MSF that will give you the colors and payoff of the Duos EVER

I think Hot Planet is this year's Gleeful in terms of describing the colour. We're all describing it differently! I found it kinda corally (albeit a kinda peachy coral) when I combined both sides!

true, but i think you could can recreate the "look" with some pigments or even a pigmented blush like azalea with a light highlighter on top, but they are beautiful and require less work for a similar effect.

I got 6 of the colors from this collection. am broke now but i'm not regretting it. (Since i am Skipping Style Warriors totally and getting only the msfs from sugar sweet)

I'm a blush whore and i must say the colors from this collection (other than moon river) are pigmented.

My mum who is an NC25 - NC30 loves Moonriver....She likes pale pink blushers which she won't go overhanded with. When i gave her Gentle mineralized blush last yr, she complained to me that she find it too pigmented.

So i decided that Moonriver would be good for her since she like something subtle. n it does appear on her nc25 - nc30 skin although quite light...but she likes light blushers. So yeah.

I love to spread my love for MAC with my Mum. When i was a student she used to buy the occasional branded make up for me like lancome or dior. Now is my turn to do so.

I love to spread my love for MAC with my mum. And the good thing is she LOVE the stuff I give her and i know she will USE and Finish them (Unlike Me...) She has finished an irridiscent powder - every single grain of it and the pan is squeaky clean. And i think in no time she will finish the Moonriver i gave her as well. And when that time comes, i would have to look for another light pale pink shimmery blush to give her. (she used to NOT to wear blush until i gave her Ice irridiscent powder).

Sorry for my long post...I just feel good when my mum likes the MAC stuff i give her.

Coral first came to my mind but it's not quite that pink on me.
Sigh, I almost want to go get another Hot Planet.

Gah... So today was my first time wearing Moon River and well.. I looked in the mirror and got like 5 zits only in the spots I applied the blush.. I really really REALLY hope it was a coinsidence.. But being that I never get zits because I have NORMAL normal skin... This is weird. It might be my foundation too since I haven't worn it in like a month.. But still this saddens me because I want more!

I may have already mentioned this, but i gave up Starbuck's, which is my favourite way to relax and also where I take my baby girl when DH takes our son to his skating lessons! DD loves it there, in fact, "arbuck" was one of the first words she said!
lol.gif
(And DH was none too amused about that one!!!)

Anyway, sorry for the off topic post, but since we're all confessing tonight, I am getting rather cranky without my tea lattes!

Ah, I LOVE Gleeful though. It IS hard to describe though, and shows up differently on almost EVERYONE. But yeah, I want Hot Planet. I want it so bad!

Yeah, and if you think about it, you will be spending more for a pigment/blush + highlight to = a grand duo. So in all, you will be saving some money and effort.

This is the cutest story ever. I'm the same with my mom. She surprises me so much with her generosity, she's always like.. "Here we go again to the MAC store.." but she'll still buy me a couple of things when we go!

So for Mother's Day, she NEVER treats herself, I took her to the MAC counter and I think she was thinking, "Oh, Elaine's going to get more make up for herself." And I KNEW she LOVED Steppin' Out Dazzleglass because she kept telling me it was so pretty whenever I had it on, and she was like.. struck by it when I tried it on at the store for the first time, so I bought her a Steppin' Out Dazzleglass.
smiles.gif
"She was like, "Nooo you keep it for an extra, I know you like this color!" And I was like.. "Look mom, I'm buying this for you, and no, I don't need another one, because I already have an extra."
th_roll1.gif

But when we got home, she tried it on right away and loved it.
Awww, I want to get her more Dazzleglasses just thinking about it. I'll get her a few more next Mother's Day.

And she LOVES pigments, especially the bright ones (Fuchsia and Teal)! And she can pull it off.
smiles.gif
I always share my pigments with her, whenever she runs out, she just comes to me and I let her pick whatever she wants.
greengrin.gif
And she uses them up too! Just like you said.

Gotta love mom.

Geeko & Elaine: Good for you, my mum doesn't use makeup at all, so she only scolds me for buying more...

I'm thinking of buying blush palettes to depot my blushes, the containers are taking up too much space now, and I've only got a small space to contain my makeup stuff... Any idea what palette is good to get? I saw that Costal Sands has an eight-pan one...

Which of the Grand Duos would you recommend for an NC35? Maybe I'll go take a closer look at them the next time I'm at MAC...
