I'm mostly interested in the lipsticks. Curious to see if this Tribalist will be different than the original. It's one of my favourite vamps ever. Definitely interested in seeing the matte frost formula and hoping it's not too dry.

As a MUA, you wanna recommend products to clients that work well with each. For example, let's say you have fix+, MES, #239, #266, #188, and a MSF. All of these items work well together. You can use the fix+ with the MES and MSF, the brushes with them as well, and get different effects if you use either the MES or MSF wet or dry. But if take replace the mineralize products with regular shadows and a blush, the fix+ is meaningless among these items. And if you have a #150 instead of a #188, you're stuck. Sure, a customer can just buy one or two of these items and make them work with stuff they already have, which is always great. But as a MUA, its hard to tie these items together and make them work for a client as a collection. As you know from just being on here, people love to buy collections as a group, and somethi g like this makes that difficult from an artist's standpoint. At least from my standpoint. I never sold stuff to clients just to sell stuff. If they didnt need it, i didnt sell it to them. But if it worked well with another item, and they'd get many different uses out of it, they definitely needed it. See what I'm saying?

Yes, but the things that aren't your taste will cater to other people. The things you like here, other people might not like. This way, everyone can find something at least. There are some collections where I want everything because I feel like everything was catered towards me, and some collections where I want nothing because I feel like it all caters to someone else. This falls in the middle, which I personally find appropriate for a holiday collection. It seems like the most appropriate time to cater to as many different people as possible. I would hate to see them push just a single formula or whatever and leave a lot of people unable to partake in the holiday collection. That's just my opinion, though!

Totally agree with you there! At this point in my purchasing I'm just into picking up pieces here and there that I can use with other things I already have so I'm happy to have the variety. Collections were really hit or miss for me this year too so it's nice to have one big one with something for everyone.
