I find it funny that ever since MAC started charging extra for special packaging, most of their special packaging has been black.  I'm so sick of seeing black special packaging.  Would have really liked white with blue glitter or something.
AMEN! I was thinking the same thing, why have the past few holiday collections had black packaging??? I used to really look forward to holiday collections bc the packaging would always be fabulous but the last few years I've been only picking up 1 thing bc I hate paying extra for black packaging.....when are we getting some colors???!!!!

It is a matte lipstick, not wet looking. But it has a frosty sheen to it.
Sounds weird, but it is really nice.
Did I make any sense?

I remember a lipstick from Spring 2000 collection Huetopia called “ LoveDust ”. It was described as a matte but had an unusual frost /matte finish .I loved this shade.
Here’s the description : opaque rose-beige enhanced with a pale gold dusting.

Lovedust was so pretty.

I think I'll try mixing some MUFE diamond powder in with one of my matte lipsticks and see what happens. I'm sure it won't look like MAC's matte frosts, but it can be my own little version and give me a feel for it. :p

:rant:WARNING RANT :soapbox: I may be imaging this but it appears as if a lot of the Mac blushes this year including the ones shown in these pics is not that pigmented or ideally suited for deeper complexions. Proenza blushes were the closest IMO and coincided with Chanel's Canaille and Vivacite launch which I actually preferred. Same goes for the recent Nars blushes not being the best for deeper skin-tones. Seduced at Sea and Sea Me Hear Me blushes was reaching esp due to packaging appeal. Fantasy of Flowers blushes was a no personally and also none from Artificially Wild. ANR blushes one was too light and the other too frosty IMO. A bit hard to low buy when TF Softcore, Chanel's Canaille and Vivacite are the best suited blushes for me. Where is the Mac that made Hidden Treasure, Stratus, Merrily, Style Demon, Love Thing etc. In the blush department recently I feel as though Mac is not catering to and is pushing away customers like myself. With all the other issues customers face with the limited edition hype feeling excluded certainly does not help. I don't want to use blushes to layer like crazy to make it "work". I do not own a Osbourne's blush by choice, no Cheeky Bugger or P&C. The Simpsons blushes are very nice to look at. Pedro's Corol blush had me super excited until the filters were removed! Jury is still out on RHPS Crazed Imagination Blush. Feeling a bit disappointed and overlooked ( being sensitive doesn't help either) lol. I initially get overwhelmed and excited thinking about several future upcoming launches but as it gets closer to launch time I find myself eliminating a lot of stuff that I was dead set on getting during the early stages. If Mac continues this trend I am more than likely be more selective than I already am or just will not give a second thought to picking up stuff during Mac launches as I will have already formed a not so positive preconceived notion. Thanks for being so thoughtful and looking out for my finances Mac! I appreciate it! No eggs please, lol, I am not speaking for everyone just my :2cents::2cents::2cents: BTW the Chanel "limited edition" blushes are still available in some dept stores and on online at Macys, Nordies etc from April to presently!!! Kudos to giving a new meaning to limited edition! Mostly grabbed Mac Eyeshadows- AA edes etc, lipglosses, Modern Lure, Talk Sexy, Itchy Scratchy and lip pencils Sultana from Mac so far this year

I can't warm up to the packaging. My fellow Canadians will know what I mean when I say it reminds me of Laura Secord chocolates.

I was more into the packaging when it looked like the lippy tubes were matte black. Everything looks pretty, but I'm not drooling.

I like the glitter on the packaging. Only thing I like on the actual products and I love the bags! Other than that not a fan of the packaging much either. It's not bad though. But you can't go wrong with black with glitter! :)
