MAC Heirloom Mix Collection (Oct 23, 2014)

My birthday is 24th November and I asked my parents for the Studio Brush set and for other pieces of Heirloom Mix Colour from others. <3 so excited to get those!

Haha, I told you.. ugly, and patchy and not shiny pigmented or gorgeous at all You should.  I definitely recommend it.  English Gilt is EVERYTHING.  I applied it over Too Faced Glitter Glue and it went on like butter.  Deep Brown needed a little more blending (I used it over UDPP), but I just used a fleshtoned shade to blend out the top edge and that worked beautifully. ETA: I really like the fact that (on my skintone, at least) this kit does a complete eye look.  I had the highlight, matte crease color, lid color, darker color for the outer third.  The only additional color I used was a matte beige as an allover base and blending color.

Terrible lighting so this pic does not do these piggies justice but I did this look today: lithe on the tear duct, English gilt on the lid, dark brown in the crease and just a touch of pretty it up in the outer corner and on the bottom lash line. I am in :eyelove: ... I'm tempted to get another gold set just for English gilt

Update: currently obsessed with Burgundy liner with Tribalist and Courting Chic over it. Also picked up the Pink + Rose glitter set and all of the pigments are gorgeous! Due to the lovely swatches recently posted, I think I'm going to have to go back for the Beige + Gold glitter set, and I'm also leaning towards snagging Sweet Sentiment. :eyelove:

You're right they didn't do them this year! But if they didn't launch with the initial holiday launch, they won't do em.

Thanks, I assumed that would be the case but was hoping maybe sometimes they were released separately afterwards. What a bummer, I wonder why they decided not to do them this year.

The last few years they weren't selling as well as they had in previous years. At the counter i used to work at, we never sold out of them. I think they were losing money producing them.

UPS just dropped off Bronze set. Not mine but who says I can't admire beauty until it goes all wrong!!!! Holding back the tears. It's not as bad as it looks but I just discovered how messy pigments can get. May have to reorder the set tomorrow just to replace Copper- the middle one Before

After cleaned up (love all except the glittery one) BEAUTIFUL!

I'm always afraid to put glitter on my eyes and it always irks me when they include glitters that aren't eye safe. Like wth are you supposed to do with them? Make a collage?
