I swatched Redd lipliner next to Throw Me A Line and Redd is a touch more orange and lighter, but they are nearly identical. So yes Redd is also lighter than RR, but it works.

I LOVE the bronzer! I might get nude on board i love the texture of it! pure velvet!

I LOVE the blush it's perfect for a "i dont wanna blend or think about what looks good with the rest of my make up" blush. effortlessly flattering
Argh, I'm already kicking myself for not getting Sun Dipped. But now I'm broke, and it's sold out on the sites where I could've gotten a discount. I should've bought it right away when the collection was released here.

And you really look good with anything, all the lippies look great on you!

I finally got my package today! Barefoot: it's a yellow, antique-y gold that really brings out the green in my hazel eyes more so than other golds in my stash. I also feel the texture is really nice. It really melts into the skin and adds dimension to the eye socket. I really like pairing it with a clean white inner corner highlight (I'm using a white pigment that is identical to crystal avalanche) because when barefoot extended too far into the inner corner, I felt I looked a little sick? Either way, I really am loving this and kind of kicking myself for passing on Jaunty which is probably the perfect nude color to work with Barefoot Crew: I loved the Vera powders so this is right up my alley as an easy blush (way too much color to be a highlighter) that doesn't emphasize my cheek redness but works with it. A friend got Launch Away blush and on me I feel they look the same. I don't see many sparkles, its mostly satin finish on my skin Au Rose: I live for lip balm but I've avoided these in the past due to price, but I actually love this one. I like the tacky texture because it lasts so much longer. I'm going on 2 hours now which is good for this kind of product on me. Plus pretty gold sparkles.

i think a couple of pages back mac-guy described a technique for neutralizing redness, maybe you can try that under reddish blushes?
I've tried (and continue to try) a bunch of different approaches. I have samples of MAC Prep & Prime Neutrali, MUFE HD #1 Primer and the Smashbox green primer. Nothing seems to make much of a difference. My redness isn't super dark and I don't hate it; it just requires me to be careful what blushes I use.

Gaelic Gold and Barefoot are almost indistinguishable. I wore Barefoot today and thought it had a green tint to it. I don't really remember that with Gaelic Gold but I haven't worn that one in a while. I thought Barefoot might be like Henna but it really isn't. Henna is an olive color. Barefoot is definitely gold.

I wore my Hey Sailor stuff today. I tried Sun Dipped again. I still wasn't diggin' it. I went for the dior bronzer I just bought - just dusted all over Sun Dipped. I wore Crew as well. I know yesterday I said it looked like a white highlighter on me. Oops. Today it is definitely looking pink. I did use a different brush today (#189). I like it but I don't know if I like it with Fleet Fast blush. It just kind of blended all together. But maybe it's supposed to?? I don't know. But I like it and will try it with more blush colors. On eyes: Barefoot on lid, Henna in the outer V and Jaunty as a highlight. Definitely Feline(bronze) Superslick liquid eye liner on upper lashline, Emerald Sea on lower lashline, Dior coral pink lipstick. I got a compliment on the look today.

Here's Red Racer with Redd lipliner in the first picture and for comparisons the second is Red Racer with Cherry.

I hope you can see that Redd gives it more of an orange tint. I love this lippie!
1) This lippie really looks great on you
2) Curses, etc. I didn't want Red Racer because it was too cool and cherryish. Only it's not with a warmer liner. I suppose I have to try it now. Sigh.

I'm wearing Red Racer with Redd lipliner today instead of Cherry lipliner (i will take a picture when my camera is charged). I definitely prefer Redd lipliner, it gives RR even more of a summer vibe. I have 4 red lippies now and Red Racer and Scarlet Ibis are my spring/summer reds and Russian Red and Runaway Red are my fall/winter ones.
I'm going to try this b/c I don't care for Red Racer right now. It is a lot like Kanga Rouge, but more yellow, and I prefer Kanga Rouge.

I also didn't care for Jaunty it is really light. Barefoot is pretty, but there are other golds in other lines. I still love it though. That is all I have for now, I placed another order with NOrdies today.
I agree with Bee, depending on your needs, and where you are in collecitng, this collection is a very easy skip.

Newbie here! First, I want to say how much I appreciate your swatches and advice! I've been "lurking" for a little bit.

I was so excited to get my Hey Sailor goodies (and try my first red) but UPS lost my package! MAC says they will reship everything once its back in stock but I'm so annoyed (and impatient)! Should I buy from Macys? I have no idea when my goodies will arrive :(

I got an e-mail from MAC about my order of Jaunty e/s and here is what they said:

Thank you for your recent order containing the MAC Hey, Sailor! Eye Shadow in Jaunty. As you may have noticed, your account has not yet been charged for this item. Due to a processing delay, the charge for this item was authorized but not charged to your account. We regret any confusion this may have caused and we appreciate your patience as we work with our processor to complete the billing for your online order. The charge for the MAC Hey, Sailor! Eye Shadow in Jaunty, which was reflected on the Web site during checkout and provided to you in the order confirmation, will appear separately on your billing statement.

I was so worried that I might not get Jaunty e/s tomorrow and so I ordered Jaunty off of Nordstrom's website in case I don't get it tomorrow. This is the first time that has ever happened to me.

Thanks! I ordered Red Racer, Sail La Vie, Abalone, Riviera Life, and Au Rose. Yeah, it might be a good idea to order the popular ones!

USPS and Fedex have lost my packages a few times, but I never had a problem with UPS (knock on wood). I placed an order with Nordstrom yesterday and I just received their shipping confirmation this morning. Hopefully, I won't have any issues with delivery!

By the way, are you sure that all the products you ordered will be back in stock on MAC's website?

Nordstrom offers free shipping regardless of the amount of your order. Macy's offer free shipping for orders $50 and up. I've ordered from Macy's before and they usually ship my order the next day, just like Nordstrom. I wouldn't wait for the products to be back in stock on MAC's website unless you're positive that they will be back in stock.
