So i couldn't resist getting Love Alert when i went in to go and exchange my foundation for the correct color. It's soooo pretty!! i can't wait to use it on top of my red lippies as well as pomposity. im considering getting date night but im not sure. im hoping it will come back again with the perm collection of dazzleglass. im trying to save for little darlings because i want two of the sets from that collection. I got one of the last two love alerts at my counter i think so i just went for it. lol.

So today I FINALLY got to the MAC counter to check all of the Holiday stuff out.

I normally like to walk around a check everything out but the MA was constantly on my tail. It sort of drove me a nuts since I told her a few times that I just wanted to look around for a bit and I would let her know what I wanted. Sorry rant over...

Anyways I was not too impressed by the Holiday collection. The MES trios were pretty but most were pretty passable. I really liked word of mouth MES trio. It is has soft grey and a really pretty soft gold color. I liked Inter-view but it didn't seem to unique to get. The navy reminded me of flashtrack and the brown looks similar to twinks. I wanted to really like dangerzone but again the black is not as good as carbon and the red is still a burnt red sort of color and not a true red.

The lipsticks were pretty but soft pause is too sheer for my liking. I love pomposity but I already had it from C-shock. Red she said was gorgeous but looks similar to a lot of other reds. As far as the blushes go stark naked was AMAZING and I think that it is the standout of this collection.

I already had ordered a few things from MAC.com so I only ended up with word of mouth MES, the rose lip bag, the warm eye palette, & kids helping kids cards & gift tags.

omg! Thanks for the recs on stark naked... it is BEAUTIFUL! I got the last one at my nordies counter today! It's amazing! perfect pigmentation to be a light color on fair skin or built up to a nice dark blush

The counter I was at was sold out of all of the dazzleglasses as well except miss dynamite. I waited too long to get love alert on line and now it was sold out at the counter. For some reason when something gets so hard to find I start to REALLY want it. Hopefully someone on here will sell one so I can pick it up. Otherwise I will wait until they are re-released in the spring.

I am soooo the same way. When things are discountinued or I find a limited edition product that I am GA GA over, I start to hoard it! Sometimes I buy a few backups instead of just a single backup. I've had favorites in the past that I can't get anymore, so I guess that's why I freak out when things aren't available anymore.

When I run out of an LE product, i'm sad, but I generally figure there's something new and pretty (and probably similar) that I can move on to.

You're absolutely right. Initially I think I will never find a colour as nice as the LE, but there is always something new and beautiful and fun (because new is fun when it comes to make-up) so I never worry about it anymore.

Also, with all the launches MAC is having now, I barely remember the older stuff.
