Little Update on My Quest to Own SR

Today I stroll to a counter casually after having lunch at McDonald's first.

It was around 4 PM when I arrived and to my surprise I saw Stereo Rose still on the display.

I managed to buy the last SR. MA said they received 30 SR. I choose to go to that dinky mall because I figured they would get lesser traffic so I would stand a chance! I paid for it even before I played with the other products in the collection because I would hate to have to commit murder.

Sure enough after I had SR in my hands when I was swatching other stuff a guy came over and told an MA he wants SR, this & that (he was on the phone probably with the gf/wife, repeating after what he hears on the phone).

Apart from SR, I also really liked Happy Together MB! The beigey side looked uninteresting in the pot but when swatched it turned into a super cute peachy colour. And on the cheeks....

. If you're into subtle peachy cheeks & you have light-medium skin tone (I'm NC25), please don't overlook this blush. The only E/S I liked was Togetherness (they didn't receive CCC though) but it wasn't 'OH MY GOODNESS I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE' by any means so I didn't buy it. Jazzed L/S was nice but I definitely felt it's not overly unique - it's like a subtler version of Ever Hip.

Oh, Petticoat was way nicer in person I almost couldn't leave it there. My friend who was with me almost had trouble deciding if she likes SR or Petticoat more.

I guess she didn't feel SR lived up to the hype.

Okay... Somehow, I just went on the website and ordered Petticoat and Happy Together. I just saw Petticoat TODAY and thought I didn't like it. Then after thinking about it for a few hours, I decided that I should just buy it and try it on my cheeks. I really shouldn't store my credit card on MAC's website. So dangerous! Haha.

I heard good things about by candlelight but it didn't woo me in person at all. It looked very common to me.

I love stereo rose and the glow it gives me but I also love a bunch of other cheek products that do the same thing so stressing over it is pointless.

Hi all!

My Stereo Rose story isn't super excitng but it ended well.

After rearranging my life to get to the mall today (which is difficult to do working full time with 2 kids), I was able to able to get my hands on:

- Stereo Rose
- Happy Together
- Jazzed

Nordstrom never got any Stereo Rose in, so I repeated called the MAC store yesterday until I got someone that would let me put the items aside. Luckily, despite being sold out of Stereo Rose and Jazzed by the time I got there, they had actually held my items and I was able to buy them!

Stereo Rose is really gorgeous..I feel so lucky to have gotten it!

Happy Together is really amazing too actually. I think it is my sleeper hit inn the collection. It looks so boring in the pan but when on, it's so chic and pretty. I love it.

Jazzed is a really "cute" color. It makes me feel energetic and happy. I have pigmented lips but somehow it works.

Checked out the MES, but they still didn't wow me. I think I still prefer the normal e/s but I am on the fence about Making it Easy and maybe Love to Love or In the Groove.

I'm sorry that alot of you were not able to get Stereo Rose.

I picked up Band Of Roses and Happy Together, but I think I need Hang Loose too! I'm just now jumping into the whole mineralized blush thing (always afraid of the glitter bomb cheeks). I need to see this one in action before I decide!

Hi there! I thought about getting Happy Together today as well. I guess I was so caught up in my happiness of getting SR I passed on it. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm going to order it now. I'm so happy to see that you got your hands on your SR!

Don't stone me, but I agree with your friend. I got Petticoat in the last release and I think Petticoat is prettier. *ducks* You should get it if you can it will look amazing on you. We're about the same tone. I'm on the darker end of NC25, almost NC30, and it's gorgie on me.

I only hope my personal quest for SR ends tomorrow happily but with a good story to share!!

Hi! I haven't been keeping up with this thread but I know there is some drama with SR. I managed to get my hands on SR, and Petticoat, today!

It is launched today and the first counter I intended to go to was out of SR when I called an hour after the store opened. So I went to another counter and they had it! I will use it soon to find out exactly why it is so coveted.

OK, that's good to hear! Porcelain Pink does nothing for me, which is partly why I didn't own anything other than By Candlelight.

I was rearranging my smallish (but growing fast!) stash and realized that I only own five blushes (eight if you count my three MSF). They look so sad and lonely because two of them are those tiny Urban Decay blushes! So I think I shall add Petticoat to get some variety in the mix!

I'm going to have to pick this up instead of trying out another two of the MES. I don't really need more purple eyeshadow and I definitely don't need more neutrals, but I could use something that will look good on my cheeks. I was never a blush person, but I'm slowing being converted over to wanting cheek things. It's that Specktra influence!

^sailordom- the supreme blush wore says, "Get Petticoat"! Especially, now that I know you don't have many. This will be a staple in you collection. Waaaay better than any neutral e/s. Let us know what you think when you get it.

Here in Singapore this collection launched today.
I was able to be in the city at opening time and I managed to get Stereo Rose and Petticoat without troubles. I picked up also Calm, Coll & Collected, my first MES.
I was a little afraid after what happened with Marine Life ( the majority of that item were kept on hold even if the policy here doesn't allow it, so it was sold out immediately)that the same would happen with SR, but luckily not.
I went to Sephora ION, and the stock seemed quite good, I think there were more than 10.... oh and the lovely MA let me choose the ones that I wanted for the veinings!

^^ Congrats! I didn't choose mine for the veinings as I was in a hurry. My SR is not that pretty but it's fine by my standards. Yes, the Marine Life drama was crazy too and I didn't get my hands on it.

Yes, I wasn't inetersted in Marine Life because I knew wouldn't work on me and I'm not that rich too afford to buy make up for collection only, but I thought that was so unfair.
If I was to find out that the same was happening with Stereo Rose I would ask to speak with a manager!
But I'm so happy it wasn't the case.
I wore it as soon as I got home and I rellay like the nice flush that gives to me.
I had to use a really light hand tough.
The MA suggested that the best brush for it is the kabuki.
I don't have it so I might picking it later.

Here's the main difference: in Bi-Tone, both colors are pretty much equally shimmery and glittery. WithNew Vibe, the rose color is much less shimmery, with no glitter, and the bronze is much more shimmery and sparkly.

Blended together about evenly it's got less overall metallic shimmer as Bi-Tone. It's nice that you can really control your own choice of glitter/shimmer level.

Bi-Tone is the blush I get the most compliments wearing and New Vibe is equal color-wise but better texture-wise.

i'm lighter than you but i looove hang loose. it's a gorgeous babypink blush, not too frosty in my opinion.

It's so crazy because I intended to roll groggily out of bed this morning and hit Macy's when they opened at ten am (yes that is early for me XD; to my defense the mall is like 40 minutes away from me) after having my order backordered and canceling it. But I overslept a little, so got there at 10:20. I was unsure of whether they'd have SR.
They had both SR left. I got one. My MAC counter is odd. They always have very sought-after items for long periods of time; I guess people near me are not super interested in MAC. For example I bought myself a Marine Life on the day that it released, and was able to cp another for a member of MUA over two weeks later.
