I was actually more interested in the dark blue of BMM, but it turns out black. I think Nehru is pretty close.

For Togetherness, the purple is beautiful, something between Parfait Amour and the purple side of Odd Couple (I've a palette from a brazilian label with two purples very, very similar to the ones of Togertheness). As for the gray, maybe all labels have a gray similar to that one (I've one from Bourjois and other in a Dior quint).

Hi Silvia

The dark colour in BMM looks strait up black on me, weird.
When I saw the first swatches of Togetherness I was thinking of Odd Couple as well, but could not compare at the counter, as they did not have it. From what I remember the middle colour of T swatched "bluer".

Thank you so much!!!!!

I was wondering if I could use Band of Roses as eyeshadow since it showed up very dark on my cheeks yesterday. I know it's my brush and how I applied, but it still scared me. I'm still learning everyday.

Hi everyone!

So it seems I am slowly getting sucked into this collection, when I was initially going to skip it!!!

Today I picked up By Candlelight MSF, which btw I noticed is now sold out on the Cdn site. It seems the MSF's are doing a lot better this time around than in the past, or... MAC is now limiting quantities so they don't end up with a pile of over stock? Stereo Rose is also completely off the site again, so not sure if I'll get the one I ordered.

I also exchanged Band of Roses (gasp) for Happy Together. BOR is seriously seriously pretty, but I am having issues getting it on without it going too bright. I tried both the 131 and 188, and I've never had any issues with any MB, blush or MSF before that is on the darker side to apply it lightly, but this one is just too much work. I had it on today, buffed it with a brush, then a cotton ball, thought it looked okay, went in the car, it looked patchy, got out, went inside, reapplied, again thought it looked okay, went to the washroom at work and was shocked at how bright it was!!!! I just don't have the time for something that takes that much work, and once on, the colour reminds me a bit of Fashion frenzy, which i have no issues applying. Sooo, that's the way the cookie crumbles!!!

Also looked at the MES, because I really wanted to love at least one of them, but still don't find any trio that is calling me. I have always loved the MES, even the older one's, but hey, there'll be more to come!

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Petticoat MSF is now sold out on the UK website.. I know this because I went to order it and saw that it was sold out

Oh well, Happy Together blush took it's place. Which I think I might be more excited about!

Band of Roses is really an eyeshadow in disguise.

I'm so sorry for your loss HerGreyness.. I can't even imagine.

I got my Stereo Rose and Jazzed lipstick today...Macy's shipped so fast, I ordered Sundsy afternoon. Jazzed is so pretty... I'm very happy with it! I always loved the original SR.. so that one was no surprise.

I wish I had extra money to buy more right now! Family weddings and graduation parties are really putting a huge dent in my spending money. Hopefully next week I can get Band of Roses and Happy Together if they don't sell out first. Then the cremesheen glasses and a few of the shadows are next on my list. I miss the days of my $300 hauls, lol!

Sorry love! I didn't see that you already posted that.

I'm sure it looked lovely on you, your new avatar is gorgeous!

I didn't pick up Hang Loose... still thinking about it. The only MB duo I got was Happy Together and according to Fed Ex, it should be here tomorrow!
th_DANCE.gif
I heard it looks like NARS Madly on some people, and I've always wanted Madly, so I'm excited!

I finally got a chance to put on my Go for It, and I'm really pleased.
FYI, I'm NW15; dark brown hair; green eyes; moderately pigmented lips.
The first time I opened Go for It, my mother blurted, "Good heavens, that's dark!"
I'll admit that even I, not one to shy away from bold lips, was a little intimidated at first by the unapologetic purple of Go for It.
BUT this morning I put on Go for It, with a bit of pink stain underneath, with Plum pencil to line, and a drop of Dazzlepuss Dazzleglass on top.
While Go for It is somewhat similar to Violetta, Go for It is considerably less pink, more blue.
The above combination on my lips is what I'd call "vibrant violet."
It's not going to suit everyone, but some are going to really rock it!

this was my first experience with a creamsheen glass *gasps* and I love it!

What are your fave creamsheen glasses from this collection or perm? I favour pinks and reds btw...

Today at my cousin's MAC counter, i tried on Going Casual over the lipstick that i was wearing (Up the Amp), and all I have to say is:

DAMN!!

Just got my New Vibe <-----that sounds weird

While it looks more red/burgundy/plum ( I guess thats why it is described as deep rose by MAC) on my face instead of a blue based/plum (which it did on my arm when swatched) I still like it on as I love those rich tones, although I would have preferred the latter shade. Its definitely pigmented as heck. I did try with all care to keep my brush out of the bronzey side
greengrin.gif

However, that bronzey side looked amazing on my eyelids
lol.gif

And to think I was going to cut that side off & send it in a box to Cajunfille
girlhaha.gif

(hope I spelled that right dear)

Okay, don't everybody flood the site, but if you missed out on Jazzed lipstick they still have some on the Nordies' website. Also, they had Petticoat back-ordered but still available--just snagged one. SR is gone! Oh well. I don't think I would have loved it--I really don't like the metallic look of most of those MSF's.

My sister got me a Jazzed from Nordies

my BOR is my old tester but for anyone who has it, be careful as it cracks right down the middle -- and then if moved a bit too much it crumbles
ssad.gif
.. but it still works you just don't get the solid color benefits from either side. MSFs are complicated and delicate.

Whoot on the Jazzed!

So is that why there is so much blowback/powder flying in the air from them? No fillers or what that they can seem so powdery?

yeah, I guess a saw wouldn't have worked down the middle on the gold side then
