To be honest, I don't think they're anything alike. I've posted a swatch comparing them in the Swatch thread on my very very pale skin. Up the Amp is much more intense and pigmented, as it's an Amplified.

I hit up the Pro store after work and was thankfully "Meh" about most of it. I got Call My Bluff which made me very happy to find a nude similar to Fresh Brew (shut up, I like it!) that was a little more every day. I also purchased You've Got It which is a nice, sheer nude that I can wear alone or over Call My Bluff. They work very well together.
I looked at Comfort and Petticoat and neither quite looked like something I could use. What was really strange was when I asked the MA if Stereo Rose had sold out, she said, "Oh, I don't think we ever got it." Whaa?!
So skip the Pro Store in Beverly Hills if you're looking for Stereo Rose.
Finally, I also tried on Go For It (purple lipstick) and it reminded me of a less interesting version of Violetta. It's a little more wearable for every day use, but I already own Violetta which is far more interesting to me. So if you're looking for a wearable purple shade, this would certainly be a good choice for you.

Sorry you thought stuff was meh, but at least you got some stuff you liked.
From past experience, does anyone know what time the collections usually go on the website? I need to stalk as soon as that happens.

I like the look of In The Groove MES in Temptalia's swatches. That was one of the MES on my list anyway. That MES might be my only purchase from this collex

This collection allready came out here and I wouldn't have known if my bf didn't tell me about it when he went to buy me a gift card
I got Stereo Rose and Go for it. Stereo Rose is a pretty light coral shade that gives a metallic glow without glitter. When I say metallic, I don't mean over the top, it's a healthy beachy glow.
Go for it is a wearable purple for me if worn with a semi or opaque pink or violet gloss. I will do a FOTD with it.
I wasn't interested in the MES so didn't even test those. I tested the blushes and being a blushaholic, I wasn't impressed at all. The one side was unpigmented and chalky. I prefer the past formulations of mineralized blushes MUCH better!
The two pink lipsticks looked very similar and they were nice but I didn't want yet another pink lipstick.
Not MAC related, but I also picked up Cargo "Rome" blush and it's such a pretty, corally summer shade. The pigmentation and buttery texture is so much better than nars and alot of mac blushes. Ill be getting more! lol

All of this Stereo Rose sellout talk has me nervous! I have the original stereo rose but I really want another. I hope that I am able to get this when I pick up my A+O stuff on Thursday.

So for everyone that has both the 1st release of Stereo Rose and then the newest one are they different enough to have both? I am torn on if I should get the newest version or not. I have heard some people say they are the same and other that they are different.

Did you take a look at Chillin'? I get the feeling it will be so sheer that the blue shade will be besides the point. Am I on target with that assessment?
