I have a MSFN but I'm not a fan, it looks so cakey on me

if you want to use it to set a foundation, try using the 187. if you want to wear it on its own, use the 150. hth!

I told myself I was only going to get two things from this collection, but after seeing those swatches again, Happy Together has made its way on my list as a great highlighter for my skin tone.... So appealing as I don't have any powder highlights.... Will DEF. have to swatch this one now.

How pink is by candlelight msf? Everywhere i looked it seems golden/yellowy, not pink. I want it to look pink on skin otherwise it will be a poor investment for me.

It's a peachy-pink color, not straight up pink. On cheeks, it gives the most lovely glow.

I'd have to agree with Winnie on this. It won't give you a lot of pink at all. It's more of a pinkish-golden glow. If you want pink, then try Petticoat. I'm NC20 and it'll give me a nice pink glow using the #187 brush.

I have petitcoat and I hate it because of the metallic veining and I hoped this would give a light pink glow without the metallic shine. So hard when you can`t see or test the product

By Candlelight is definitely not as metallic looking as Petticoat; it gives more of a glowy sheen and is not frosty/metallic looking at all.

I'm very tempted by By CandleLight when it was released with Warm & Cozy but I own Porcelain Pink so am afraid they are too similiar of By CandleLight will look awkwardly warm tone against my NW25 skin

Hmm I don't have Porcelain Pink so I'm not speaking from personal experience, but from what I've heard, By Candlelight is the prettier and more pigmented of the two. I don't think it will be too warm for you though. Maybe you can ask to try on the product before buying? I really recommend By Candlelight, it's easily one of my fave MSFs.

I'm an NC20, so ymmv, but I can barely even see Porcelain Pink on my skin (I use the 134). By Candlelight gives me a wonderful glow.

Well the only one I'd thought about was Stereo Rose. The Candlelight I thought was too light for me.

Thats another reason why I didnt like it...just saw a faint, faint pink sheen. But if others say Candlelight is not like that maybe I'll try it

If you get a Petticoat without much veining it will give you a nice pink glow. I had a heavily veined one and it didn't look nice on me, it was all dark and frosty, but got one with a lot less veining and that one is a very pretty light pink blush on me. (I'm approx. NC/NW15/20.)

This is my Porcelain Pink and By Candlelight.
IMG_3744_w-Porcelain-Pink-By-Candle.jpg

Although MAC gave them similar descriptions (By Candlelight is described as golden pink, and Porcelain Pink is described as soft pinky coral with gold veining.), they are different enough for me to own both.
tong.gif
By Candlelight is more pigmented than Porcelain Pink. With one swipe, you get a lot product on your brush. I wear it as blush for natural healthy glow. Porcelain Pink is great for pink highlight. As blush, it may look very artificial. (I tried!

). Also as you can see in the picture, color is different. By Candlelight is peachier. Just IMHO.

just had a look at both of mine and the outside of my porcilain pink is pink whereas the inner part is pretty much the same as by candlelight - more peachy pink.

I too own Porcelain Pink which is why I passed on By Candlelight when I made my Warm & Cozy haul at the Pro store. Anyhow I use Porcelain Pink for highlight not blush. I also own Petticoat too and I have stopped using it b/c mine has the metallic veining as well which I'm not feeling at the moment.

So now after reading the feedback, I'm HAVE to add By Candlelight to my list.

I'm NC 25 as a reference.
