I went to Nordies today and put my preorder in for Stereo Rose

I also got to play around with the goods. Jazzed l/s looks great with fashion whim over it. I was surprised Jazzed looked good on me since i'm so cool colored. Ever Hip from LoL looked terrible on me.

This limited edition stuff is really annoying now. If Mac lipsticks weren't superior to other brands, I probably would've abandoned it by now. Now it's not just ultra special stuff like marine life selling out, but pigments? I got mine, but I don't want to deal with the paranoia anymore.

i'm desperately trying not to get sucked into the 'worry' about my MSF...

i stopped by my mac store yesterday and asked if they would put an item on hold for me that was being released on thursday. (i'd never done so at the store.) so she brought out the testers for me to see and i immediately told her i wanted stereo rose to avoid another marine life debacle and she totally knew what i meant.

i saw her take one out of the drawer and put a post-it with my name on it behind the counter. so if it isn't there on thurs. when i go pick it up... there will be hell to pay!

on a side note, thinking of calling them and telling them to put one of the later pigments from a+o on hold too since it is sold out on mac.com as well. hm...

MAC is one of the few lipsticks I can use that don't make my lips peel in sheets. I would not bother either, if they were not so wearable for me.

I stopped collecting pigments and MSFs a long time ago- and it feels nice now. I only wanted SR because it is my favorite MSF and I use it all of the time.

That's what I don't get. The only way I figured it was backordered was because I was only charged for the blush I ordered, and not the MSF. When I called CS, they confirmed I was right. I really don't get how that happened, especially when I got my confirmation email at 8:15!

You are lucky- ours won't hold stuff at all

STINKS!!!

That is what happened with Marine Life- it was just up on the Pro site and it was oos- it sold out on maccosmetics.com before they even linked it up on Pro.

AH i went onto canadian mac site and stereo rose sold out. it completely freaked me out so i called the counter at the bay to hold stereo rose for me!

See, I never ordered ML on the website. I actually got it a week later at a counter. I had to call around, but I got it. I was out of town when that collection came out on the website, so I didn't experience the ML trauma! I just feel bad for people who don't read this website, who think they actually got it. At least we had some kind of warning up here!

What I dont get is Im not backordered I ordered a half hr prior to you I didnt choose second day or overnight you ordered a half hour after me your back ordered yet theirs people who got confirmations later than you saying they arent back ordered.

I couldn't order it at all either. I had to call our counter at opening and pray I got through first. Then I was able to order and pay for it with my Macy's card. Otherwise I would have missed out.

It was worth it too- I am glad I went through all that to get it.
